Great stay!
Very quick check in and check out. Room was clean, building was quiet despite the amount of activities in the area. Only complaint is no complementary breakfast.

The room is a bit dusty, and the lack of dining facilities was disappointing. However, this location simply can't be beaten for the convenience (right above a rental car business) and the coffee of course is great!

Room was clean and spacious. Generous on the amount of towels and toiletries. One of the elevators wasn’t working properly as the door didn’t seem to be working well. The elevator itself was still functional but it did not make us feel uncomfortable to use it. I spoke to front desk about it and they seemed to be unbothered by it but reported that they are taking care of it.

The check-in was fast and easy. The hotel/room was clean and modern. Bathroom could use an update but was fine. The hotel itself was quite. Too bad the restaurant wasn't functioning but the after effects of COVID are still around. The hotel is used to house first-nations people requiring medical care. Any interaction we had with them was very nice and individuals who comment otherwise need to look at their own biases before making negative comments.

Ok but too pricey for premises
The room are tidy and comfortable. Unfortunately the blinds don't close completely because of the AC so the room was fully lit at 5am. The mini fridge was also faulty and froze all the food we brought, we had to throw everything away. The staff was polite. There's like a community room for the basement so there are always lots of people around reception smoking and staring at people coming is and out making it awkward, although I don't think it was usafe. It was overall ok but felt very cheap for the price we paid.

Great location, close to the Bell Centre and all downtown shopping areas. Parking was good but on the expensive side and wish it had been discolsed at time of booking that the hotel was being used for transients and people in care of the province of Quebec.

Good place to sleep.
Good hotel in a great location as it's near two subway lines and is very much in the center if Montreal. We used it as our hotel for Osheaga and while the hall way, lobby and elevator were kinda run down, the rooms were good with comfy bed. Perfect place to come back to after standing all day at the festival. The only issue I had was the bathroom had no fan and the outlet in the bathroom would only work if the lights were on.

2/10 Poor

The sink and tub were clogged. Every time you shower it fills up to your shins with water. It is dirty mucky water from the drain. Every time I used a CLEAN towel, it would turn black (I’m assuming black mould in the towels)? The sheets were stained brown when we got there. The fridge stunk and there was nothing in it. Overall not a good experience. Would avoid this hotel at all costs.

Had a great stay at Hotel Espresso while attending Osheaga. Close to all the amenties and public transit. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Friendly staff and easy check in/check out. We were also able to enjoy the pool during our stay. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Montreal!

Hotel is affiliated with the hospital across the street. Many patients stay here. Restaurant inside the hotel is not affiliated with the hotel, it’s for hospital patients only. Not mentioned on any literature from the hotel.

2/10 Poor

Please listen to this and all the other reviews. I was hesitant in booking and ultimately wish that I did not. To start, yes there are many homeless people lingering in the lobby and outside. At times you may feel unsafe but this was THE LEAST of my concerns. Im sure that the sheets were washed but there was still dirt stains and even blood on the sheets. It was disgusting. Some towels had some hair in them. For the first two days our shower would make a loud whistling noise. When we called maintenance he said he couldn't do anything unless he ripped the wall out. Not helpful. All housekeeping does is fold the sheets badly. The worst part of this stay was that we were woken up at 7am to housekeeping knocking and telling us we were supposed to have checked out already. We had two days left at the hotel. There was constant knocking and phone calls kept coming in from the office. Eventually things got sorted out but they really dropped the ball. Pool was open and fine but was definitely not as luxurious as the photos. I'll even go and say that all the photos here are much better than what it actually is. You can hear some noise in the hallway. Gym is atrocious. Most of the equipment is unusable. I managed to get one treadmill working. Last thing I want to note is that I got the deluxe suite thinking it would be better compared to the other reviews but it was obviously not.
