The rooms were small, I just needed to lay my head down. Very clean, so if that’s important to you that’s a plus. The staff was extremely nice. The booking company only reserved 1 room of the two I requested. I paid for the only remaining room on site out of pocket. But the booking company charged me for a room that didn’t get booked. So I paid for 3 small rooms, while there was only 2 rooms to rent. Also, the fresh fruit on the breakfast bar was not fresh. The bananas were black and should have been used to make banana bread…

Bugs in shower area, shower water would not turn off, beds were full not queen and hard. Desk chair looked like it came out of the trash. Moved us to a different room, water maybe got to room temp, shower water did not fully shut off-it trickled, full size beds, not queen and hard. When in first room, heard construction above us. The bottom of the shower/ tub was black. They did not offer to give a discount or anything else.

We enjoy staying here and have done so for many years due to the ease of getting around the area. It is close to light rail which makes it easy to get to all downtown restaurants, concert venues, sports facilities etc. It is right on campus so makes anything you need to do at the U of MN convenient. They offer free parkkng which is a large bonus in that area. The staff is always very friendly and super helpful. The one thing i would say to ownership is they really need to put sone money into maintenance and upgrades. The carpet and furnishings are old, worn, and dated. The walls and ceilings need repair, and the bathrooms are literally falling apart. The walls are crumbling, ceilings are moldy, and fixtures are loose. They keep it as clean as they can with the underlying issues they have but they need to work on the interior. Beds are usually comfortable and sheets are clean. And, as i saud, service is always very good. We'll continue to stay there for all the reasons noted earlier, but some upkeep is due.
