Jungsik is a fine-dining restaurant in Seoul that utilises a mix of Korean and Western cooking methods and ingredients, delivering neo-Korean dishes with avant-garde presentation. You can enjoy full course lunches and dinners that are priced between 70,000 won and 180,000 won, with wine pairings available at an additional 125,000 won.

Hidden within a quiet alley in Gangnam, the service here is impeccable and unobtrusive. Interior-wise, the restaurant is very chic and classy with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Dosan Park, as well as a private room for diners who prefer a more intimate setting.

Jungsik’s 5-course lunch menu costs around 73,000 won – dishes include gimbap (Korean sushi rolls) and sea urchin or abalone bibimbap (traditional dish of rice, meat, and vegetables). For dessert, Jungsik’s signature Berry Coco is served up in tiny pots made from chocolate, with cake crumbs and edible flowers.

You can also opt for a vegetarian menu, which costs 95,000 won for lunch and 145,000 won for dinner. Standouts include the mushroom wellington, truffle gimbap, and neungi broth ravioli.

Jungsik Bar is a stylish wine bar attached to the restaurant – you can enjoy 24 types of wine by the glass, and 300 types of wine by the bottle. 

Jungsik is located near Dosan Park within Sinsa-dong, Gangnam district. To get to the restaurant, take the subway to Apgujeong Station (Subway Line 3), Exit 2 before taking bus no. 422 to Dosan Park.
