We were delighted with our room. The presentation, cleanliness and access to a bar downstairs and clean facilities was very pleasing. The staff in the bar / restaurant downstairs were lovely and we would definitely come back again!

4/10 Fair

Disappointed
Disappointed, the place looked beautiful from the outside and has a great location. But inside there is a sad air of neglect with paint peeling off walls, the mens bathroom has mould, furnishings are worn and tired, and it’s in desperate need of a deep clean with layers of dust visible in many places (on the fake plants, top of mirror in women’s bathroom, fireplace in bedroom). It also felt like I was staying in a hostel with extra charges if you wanted your room cleaned during your stay or extra towels. This is the first time I’ve left a review like this and I hope the feedback is taken onboard because it has potential to be lovely. Wouldn’t recommend in the current state.

Stayed here whilst we went on the Blues Train. Easy walk from the ferry and to the train station. Shops, cafes etc on your doorstep. Lovely old building. Main door with after hours passcode needs attention, as we struggled to gain entry after many attempts, even with assistance from other returning guests. Lunch and dinner is available in their restaurant. Never saw any staff at check in or exit, just a staff member in the bar area.

8/10 Very Good

Old world accommodation in the centre of town, very convenient to shopping and restaurants and the station for Blues & Q Train. Whilst the building is old and remains in original character, some upgrades to the shared bathroom facilities would be a good investment, however if you’re after a comfy large bed for a 1 night stay, this accommodation is satisfactory!

This is a historic property so the facilities have character but I excellently maintained. The art and design of the interior is beautiful and modern. We enjoyed our stay at Circa and will return next year!

Overall, very enjoyable stay Sally and Chris were extremely kind and polite and the rooms were exactly what was expected and shown - beds and linen were comfortable and although the bathrooms were shared, they were clean and well maintained The restaurant downstairs also provided high quality and tasty food. I look forward to coming back here again the in the future.
