2/10 Poor

Frustrated and disappointed stay
I had a disappointing experience during my stay at L’Emeritage. Upon arrival, until our departure , there was no staff at the reception, and repeated attempts to reach someone through the provided telephone number went unanswered. Parking was another issue—despite being advertised, there was no clear information about parking availability, and no one was available to clarify where to park. They don’t have a designated parking. Additionally, my mother and I had booked two separate rooms for our stay, yet we were assigned rooms in different buildings located far apart. This arrangement was highly inconvenient and did not meet our expectations for a coordinated stay. It also appeared that our room used to be the main area of the house, as the primary heater was located there. In December, the room became unbearably hot at night. We attempted to use the air conditioner to cool it down, but it was not working. The windows were full glass and lacked blackout curtains. As a result, we were not only woken up by the early morning sunlight but also disturbed by the bright streetlights throughout the night. We stayed for two nights and never saw a receptionist or any staff member to discuss these issues. Despite calling the provided phone number multiple times and leaving messages, no one responded or returned our calls. Overall, the lack of service, poor communication, lack of parking and disorganized room assignments made for a frustrating and disappointing stay.

Do not recommend
Heat wasnt working.I had to blead air out of the radiator myself. Mini fridge wasn't plugged in when r arrived. Walls were paper thin. We had very loud and drunk neighbors and no reception person to call. Only got one key for the room. The keypad to enter barely works. Water in the shower changed temperature wildly.

It was very uninviting the lobby was Barron no one there to greet you it was cold no bathroom facilities no personal touch other hotels in the area seemed much more welcoming I felt I made a mistake by booking your hotel. The room was never made up. We were there for 3 nights in my opinion it was an expensive hostel I would not recommend this place

Electronic check in seemed ok and we used the door code ok. Our card key envelope was brought to us by a young man who clearly was not used to dealing with people. Our room was actually in another building opposite and we never did find the number and the entrance was under scaffolding. Unnerving! Inside, the building which is classical and beautiful had been beautifully renovated and was gorgeous but we … and another couple we met, would have preferred a human being present in the building or opposite at the original address. Especially when the person we did meet was so clueless and in professional. Did not inspire confidence

This hotel is hostel-like, in that there is no staff on site, and admission is by code on a locked door. It's an old building, which shows in its exterior shabbiness, but the room itself was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the quiet, and the neighborhood's "normalcy" (not always found in tourist hotspots).

The Jazz Club was a plus. We went to the 5:30 performance two nights and the 8:30 performance one night. We could hear music in our room, but it quit around 11

Close to most tourist sites. Minimal service, though instructions were easy to follow. My room had a broken coffee machine, a bathroom door that didn’t close, and a few other small issues. Bed was very comfortable, though, and WiFi was excellent. Overall, it was good for the reasonable cost, considering the location.

The room is very nice. If the air conditioner would work or if the windows would open it would have been a 5 star. Note there is a very steep spiral stair case to go up.
