Absolutely loved my stay, the location in Puebla is perfect, making all points of interest perfectly reachable on foot. The staff was wonderful and friendly too, and did their very best to make me feel welcome in their charming property.

Cute but cramped
Hotel staff was great. We first stayed in room 7, without a window it was damp and humid. Staff was able to change our room without any issue. both rooms we stayed in were cramped. There wasn't any space to take clothes out of our bags. Nowhere to hang more than one wet towel.

Great location, basic hotel
Nice little hotel using an old house/building so feel like you’re staying in part of the town. Room was basic - shower area built into one corner of the room by a half height wall. Bed was small and quite hard. Only stayed for 1 night, so the location was the best bit. Good for a short stay in Puebla.

Location was great
I had a very good stay at Casa Callejon - staff was friendly,it was clean and the location was great. The only disappointment I had was that I was given a room on the main floor with no windows at all and as the front door opened on what was a shared area, I kept it closed. It was also under the staircase to an upstairs room. I did ask about a room upstairs as there were so few guests as those had balconies and looked onto the street - which in fact I thought I had booked. Anyway - got used to the little room under the stairs and enjoyed 5 days there.

Old charm in center of Puebla.
The hotel is located so close to walking distance to everywhere. The stuff are so friendly. I felt at home here. The building has old charm and perfect for my taste. Only one thing I didn't like was that bed was hard. I put the blanket in the closet under the sheet and my problem was solved. I will stay here if I come back to Puebla.

A VERY good inexpensive hotel right off the main plaza and surrounded by MANY cafés, restaurants, street vendors ,shops, etc. Hotel is spotless and the manager is SUPER helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Rooms have neither air nor heat, so you might want to consider that if you are in Puebla during peak summer or winter. I would gladly stay here again.

Nice hotel close to the zocalo.
The hotel staff are really great. They called a laundry service to pick -up my laundry and then brought it back clean and folded.

Litle hotel in a great place
The hotel is on the best place in town just next to the center. In i life street full of restaurants and live music. It is a litle noise until 11 oclock the everything dies down. The rooms are big . But no ac / safe or tv in english. But that is no problem you are next to a historic center and beautiful restaurants. It is a nice town with good pepole

Nice hotel but horrible sleep
This hotel had character and was in a great location and would have got a much better rating if not for the following issues: - bed pillows were way too big/thick and really uncomfortable - the bed sheet didn't even cover the bed, and was clearly meant for a single bed rather than a double. When we asked for a larger sheet we were told that they didn't have any larger sheets. This may have been due to something lost in translation between English and Spanish - the hotel staff were using the room upstairs for something, and on one of the nights they were quite noisy into the early hours of the morning, playing music etc - worst of all, there were a LOT of mosquitos or midges somehow getting into the bathroom, which would then fly into the bedroom at night and buzz around our heads while trying to sleep. Really really annoying!! As I say, nice place with friendly staff but we hardly slept at all because of the above.

Room in a colonial house with the best staff
This hotel has the atmosphere of an ancient colonial house. The house has been nicely separated into several rooms, each of them having their own bathroom. Our room was small but comfortable with beautiful ancient wood furniture. Bathroom was smelly because of the sewer pipes; we called the hotel staff and they came immediately to fix the problem. Hotel service was excellent: staff at the front desk was helpful and friendly. They indicated us many places to visit in the city and they accommodated our stay perfectly. The hotel has a free parking (very convenient as the hotel is located close to the city center where it is difficult to park).

First visit to Mexico
We spent 7 nights at this hotel Employees were very helpful when asked questions and directions. They even brought coffee and breads to the room at 9am. We enjoyed Puebla very much and felt very safe at this hotel. They understood enough English that made it easy for us to navigate. Mattresses were a bit hard for our liking but otherwise the room was perfect. Will definitely stay here again upon return.

Friendly, great customer service
I arrived late at night after several flight delays; they greeted me by name as I walked in the door. Unfortunately, my luggage did not arrive with me. The desk staff, manager and hotel owner spent 3 days trying to get my bag, since they speak Spanish and can convey the need. Finally after the owner's intervention on day 4, my bag was delivered. That's real service. The hotel is a 300-year-old building with 8 guest rooms. I was the only guest on several nights. I was upgraded because of a long stay (a week vs a night or two). Breakfast is served upon request, included in rate, but includes only sweet breads, coffee and juice. That's sufficient for me. Throughout Mexico, beds are hard, especially in rustic hotels; same here. The central courtyard is beautiful. The location is great, near the zocalo, but not on it. I'll definitely stay here again.

Excellent experience at this hotel. Beautiful architecture, great people ready to help and give a good service. It's an old house, therefore things like bathrooms cannot be as comfortable as a modern hotel, but still could be improved. Location is excellent. Breakfast is very convenient, simple but well done. Always nice people at the front desk, who also gave us good recommendations and directions.
