Great location
Glad I made the choice of a place with a kitchen. Had room on 31st floor 3105. Easy walk round the corner from/ to Port Authority Bus Station and subway with luggage as used airtrain and subway from JFK . Food truck on corner in the mornings for bagels/pastries/muffins for $1.50-$2. Fruit stand also nearby had great cheap fruit and veg. Stayed 4 nights so room not serviced which is fine with me. Enough spare garbage bags to leave garbage outside room each day. Laundry room was free ( 2 large washing machines and 2 dryers). Room larger than expected for NYC so enough room for suitcases and carry-ons. Kitchen had everything we needed. Pyrex jug was handy to microwave water for cup of tea. Full sized fridge for groceries (we food shopped at fruit stand, Target, Walgreens and Wholefoods). Bed comfortable. Big drawers to put clothes in so suitcase could be emptied.

Clean nice but not without hiccups.
We were on the street side so if you have hard time sleeping ask for none street side room. The heat even after turned down to 68 was very hot in room. We had trouble sleeping first night. 2nd night we decided to turn off heat and use fan to drown out street noise. Slept much better. Bed was fine for me but my sister said it was too hard for her. Older hotel so you can see mainly in bathroom that it’s in need of remodel but was clean and sufficient for what we needed. We had a hiccup with using valet service as our car was brought around 1 and 1/2 hours after being told 45-1 hour causing some anxiety with making my flight. All worked out and I think it was the young man behind counter who may have done something wrong. He was very nice and extended our room so we could wait up there and they would text me when car was around. This was something offered and not asked for so I give credit for trying.

It was an amazing experience with an awesome location to Times Square and subway all other places. Stuff were friendly and helpful. Everyday complimentary coffee, tea etc! Room was very nice and clean and comes with full size fridge, dinnerware and utensils! We were happy and satisfied! P.S the only downside was curtains didn’t shut all the way

Very practical
The hotel definitely shows its age with rust, multiple coats of paint, stained and yellowed towels, etc. So, not the destination for a honeymoon or romantic getaway BUT a very practical destination for a clean hotel with good and friendly staff and working amenities. I'll definitely come back for any extended stays. The rate was good and having a fully stocked kitchenette and free washing machines in the basement saved a lot of money. Worth mentioning twice that the staff members were great.

Good location in NYC
My stay was a pleasant surprise. The location was perfect. Not too far from anything. The room was sufficient and clean. Easy check in with the ability for them to hold our bags while we explored. We could also do that when we checked out as well. Only issue we had was the shower curtain didn't stay closed. It was a fight every morning to somehow hook it to something. Other than that no complaints.

Pleasant surprise at Candlewood Suites
My stay was quite pleasant as the room was quite spacious for the price. It also had a host of other amenities to which I was not expecting (e.g., kitchenette) and proved to be quite useful. The queen-sized bed was also very comfortable and provided much needed rest especially after a long tiring day. The bathroom was likewise clean and had good hot water supply. Overall, think it is a perfect hotel to stay in without breaking your bank account.

We got two hotel room in Candel Wood . It is 8/10 mins walk to time square, however if you planning to stay less then 7 days no Cleaning service. Only limited water. We were not happy with our stay. Stuff was friendly but rooms were not clean. If possible we would cancel it but it wasn’t. Hope they can improve. Definitely not recommended.
