Last minute Birthday trip
My son was given tix to a show in Chicago for his birthday on Monday, I didn’t want to have to worry about arrival time and getting to the show, I wanted someplace that we could walk to the theater from.
A bit more than I would like to pay but it was well worth it. WiFi price at $15 a day is steep and not being affiliated with a garage is eh.
My son always like to put the soaps in his bag but at $45 per bottle I nixed that 😂😂.
Beautiful spacious room very clean, getting a coffee pot brought to the room was a snap.
It was an amazing birthday trip !!
Happy 13th Josiah!!

Nothing special
Stay was okay, staff put us in a queen room even though we booked a king. Went back down to the desk and they switched us out. We missed our dinner reservations because the ordeal took about 30 minutes. King room had some minor problems (paint peeling etc.). Pillows were horrible and hard to sleep on. Bed was comfortable though. Probably wouldn’t stay here again, but not bad for a 1 night stay.

As a Marriot member I was so disappointed with my stay. I chose to book despite reading negative reviews we enjoy historic buildings. While the lobby is lovely, the historic details are worth exploring, and our rooms were actually actually quite sizable, our complaints include the absolute poor, downright rude front desk staff, and the cleanliness-our room had urine in the toilet when we arrived and despite reporting this is was never cleaned. The whole experience makes me question my loyalty programming

The overall property and location was great! The staff were friendly! I did ask for our room to be cleaned, but it wasn't.. that's not a big deal. I was able to get wash clothes and towels brought to the room. The toilet is in an unusual place. It's like in front of a wall. You have to almost climb over to sit straight on the toilet. My husband is tall so this was uncomfortable for him. The bathroom was clean though.
