Higher expectations
We traveled for our honeymoon and let me say it was a terrible experience. We had higher expectations than what we experienced. When we arrived we were told a restaurant was under construction there for they would be providing a shuttle to the neighboring restaurant less than half a mile away. When we were waiting for our room to be ready we went to the bar to order a drink and was told one of the drinks on the menu was unavailable. Then we decided to stay in the room for the afternoon and order dessert, we were then told they were out of dessert (it was 5pm). The next day on the beach there was one to two servers serving and taking orders, however we were only able to use it once my husband had to be getting us our drinks. The first morning I ordered from the menu not the buffet and the French toast was cold. At night we wanted to check out the restaurants they had next door through the shuttle service, we were told it was broken and had to pay 50 dollars for a 0.5 mile ride plus wait 40 minutes to get back to the hotel. We then got massages which were wonderful, but heard the construction the entire time. Our last night we wanted room service asked two employees if we could order onsite and they said yes. We ordered, and then got a call back they could not, then later were told one of the items we ordered was not supposed to be on the menu. Save your money and time and book at another property. Very disappointed especially since it is not supposed to be a 2 star hotel.
