stay here - for real - just do it
I was about to book a hotel in Bocagranda when the guy on the plane said DONT - stay in the old city...boy am i glad I did. The staff was amazing, learning my name and making sure i had anything i needed. its a beautiful building...its older but they are always working to keep it up to date. I got a room with a balcony and would sit there in the AM and drink tea (had to get hot water from room service, very fast but a little kettle would have been nice.) you cant ask for a better location like there just isnt one. also make sure to eat here - great food options with awesome service....just for fun i took a walk today to see the BIG high end chain in bocagranda...i was going to have lunch but the place had no energy / awful menu so i left and came back to Santa Teresa for my final meal and it was perfect.

The service was excellent from all staff. The doorman knew my name, the breakfast staff knew what I liked to order. There is nothing negative about the hotel. Exception, which is not the hotel's fault the outside construction that did not allow for sleep past 8:30am.

This property was so beautiful, clean, etc. The staff were ever so accommodating. Breakfast was fenominable. Full courses of fruits, cheese's. Fresh baked breads of large variety. Very expensive but it is deluxe. Right now the hotels big problem is the DJ bands playing across the street and there is no way to sleep. They played past 130am. Appears that this is a current issue for this high end hotel and upsetting guests who want to sleep. We ended up changing rooms which is a major pain. Got a smaller outdated room and no lower rate. Guest services/concierge is truly amazing. Incredible service. Bellmen as well.
