An old hostel in a convenient spot
A convenient location with parking space. Hardly any staff around though to help out even during the open hours. They left a number, but not helpful of you don't have a phone. An old hostel that was pretty dusty with only a flat sheet provided as a blanket. A small shared fridge and kitchen space provided but no common area to eat or hang out.

This hostel was not what we expected. It was very expensive and not located close to many services compared to other hostels in Maui. It is a very old building and the rooms are very tiny.

Poor 2.0
Money hungry lady
My family and I rented the room at that time the amount of people in one room was never mentioned after renting the room the next day the lady tried to get over on us because we had 1tomany people mind you most of the people staying where minors she demand that we rented another room since we choose not to she kicked us out it took over a week to get our refund for the remaining days which took a chunk out of our budget

I slept...
Overall, a decent location to sleep and bathe, my stay was pleasing for the price I paid (although there were some fraudulent charges on my card - which hadn’t been used for some time prior to my booking - no bueno). Rarely saw the owners but room information was texted to me since I arrived after their office closed - when I did speak to her she was quite nice. There is not much in the area but I walked to Iao State Velley Park and Waiehu Beach, both a little over an hour...and don’t plan on too much sidewalk but it was a nice time to reflect on life and the pursuit of a rental car...both locations are beautiful! The beach, however, is more for fishing and surfing, not so much for lounging and there is a golf course there as well. At any rate, the hostel was quiet around the surrounding area, in general. I would book again...Wailuku Coffee Company, up the street a block or so offers delicious coffee, WiFi and delicious assortment of food, super chill spot! Down Main Street, to the left, you’ll find a ways down the university, Queen Ka’ahumanu shopping center and other shops along the road. If you’ve stayed in hostels before, this one is ok...I would strongly suggest management put a bit more effort into landscaping and overall facility maintenance and ask the adjoining restaurant to do the same. It’s rated at two stars, so a bit more is expected if you would charge at any point $100 dollars...I’m not a hotel snob but try it out for yourself!

Lots of ants and cobwebs. The main office was never open when i was there during the stated hours. The bunk beds are squeaky and there isnt much room if youre on the too bed.

Check out other hostels not on
Very very hot. No breeze coming through the rooms. Fans are only on bottom bunks. Bunks are very wobbly and noisy. I woke up every time the person sleeping beneath me moved. There is no hand soap in the bathroom. The bathroom door is an accordion door that is loud to open and close at night and the bathroom light illuminated the whole room if someone turned it in. There is no lounge even though one was advertised. Never met the owners. The area does not feel very safe.

Great little hostel
This cute little hostel is just minutes from tons of great things to see and do. The owners are amazing and really go out of their way to make sure you have an excellent stay. We look forward to staying with them again in the near future.

A great way to see Maui on a budget
For the price, in the off-season, this place is great. The managers are accommodating; it's quiet and orderly, and you see the old town and local people
