Melia Purosani Yogyakarta
"Wonderful hotel stay, great wellness center, food, amenities, pool, gym! We tried it all and will be back!"
Swiss-Belboutique Yogyakarta
"We were always greeted warmly by the staff, who aimed to please and provided great communication. The room was impeccably clean and the breakfasts were excellent - with a wonderful variety of food. We appreciated the location, which was walkable to Malioboro St. We didn't use the spa, but the pool with the city view was a welcome relief from the heat."
Novotel Suites Yogyakarta Malioboro
"Food:TERRIBLE OTHER than breakfast. You never know what you order and what’s totally different was received. Triedfortwo days and dinner was awful. Eanded up eating outside for remaining eating up outside the last two nights. Otherthannthe lunch and dinner, this was a nice place to stay."
Kimaya Sudirman Yogyakarta by Harris
"This is a good hotel. The staff is very helpful, breakfast delicious with incredible selection and the rooms comfortable. My only complaint: the bar is terribly overpriced. We learned that our first night. Later nights we noticed that no one is there. (Hint: walk 3 blocks to Ar+otek --- their bar & restaurant are much more reasonable with local live music many nights)."
Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta
"Beautiful and luxurious hotel with an A+ staff. Room is cleaned every day unless I ask to skip (with a button near the door) but they will come by later for a rescheduling. This way they can restock the free complimentary water and food/fruits. Pool is very nice, breakfast buffet is from 6am to 10am and I do recommend getting it as part of your room - wide selection and most of its pretty good. There is a national anthem at 10am that does play in public areas of the hotel. Staff is helpful and professional with the front desk and those at most front facing positions having strong English speaking skills too. Would go back if I was in Yogya"
The Phoenix Hotel Yogyakarta - Handwritten Collection
"Very easy, central location. Everyone was so lovely and helpful. It is a beautiful historic building. Loved staying here."
The Packer Lodge Yogyakarta - Hostel
"Excellent place to stay in Yogyakarta Indonesia"
ibis Styles Yogyakarta
"Excellent service. The staff members were very attentive to all my needs. I enjoyed my visit. Definitely staying there again."
Oakwood Yogyakarta
"Amazing and friendly staff who are always looking out for you and your wellbeing. The place was 200m away from the market which has local delicious food. It is also 100m from the Tugu Yogyakarta which has many cafes at the roundabout. It’s also 5min away by car to the Tugu Yogyakarta train station and 5-15min away from malioboro mall. The swimming pool is a relaxed and conducive place."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Yogyakarta
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Yogyakarta is during February, March, and September, when hotel prices may drop, offering affordable stays on a budget. A stay of at least 2 to 3 days is ideal for exploring key landmarks and cultural attractions, including temples, historical sites, castles, dancing events, museums, monuments, sightseeing tours, and archaeological sites. This period provides great value for money for travellers looking to enjoy a culturally rich experience without breaking the bank.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: For travellers planning a trip to Yogyakarta, Hotels.com offers DealsOpens in a new window featuring discounted hotel rooms. To increase your chance of a bargain, browse the Last-Minute Deals section for reduced rates near your travel date. Meanwhile, with the Smart Shopping tool available via the app, you're more likely to see a comprehensive comparison of hotel prices and amenities. Enabling email alerts or push notifications may help you discover flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you're informed of any sudden opportunities to book a great hotel deal.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel’s location, star rating, and time of year, so having flexibility with your dates might help you save on your stay in a Yogyakarta hotel. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised atmosphere and occasionally offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your selected dates is above or below the average, and if it appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates to help you find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually command higher prices, but thanks to Yogyakarta's excellent public transport links, you might find a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
