Rude staff and no privacy at all.
If you want privacy don’t stay here. The e pictures they show on hotels.com are not compatible with the rooms they offer. There is no privacy at all, people can just show up next to your hot tube (and this happened because they wanted to see the beautiful view), and that’s so uncomfortable. After a long argument with the person who checked us in, they gave us a better room (the one actually shown in the photos and they one we booked). They were so rude and kept telling us we could cancel the stay no problem. But where would we find another place the afternoon of check in?! Very inconsiderate. Do not recommend! The view is beautiful but all the problems and lack of privacy do not make up for it. Find another place!

There were plenty of restaurants and opportunities for shopping in the area. Visitors should be warned that there are hundreds of stairs to walk everywhere you go. The view of the Caldera from the room was beautiful and the sunset each night was spectacular. The breakfast was delicious but it didn’t start until 9:30am so if you have an early activity planned you might miss it. The staff was helpful and friendly. Access to the hotel is challenging but the hotel had someone to bring your luggage up and down the hundreds of steps to and from the street level.

The hospitality was very attentive, generous, and willing to get us whatever was needed throughout the trip: ice buckets, towels, food/drink. The views here are stunning overlooking the water. The breakfast was good, but options very limited and select 9:30-11am hours for breakfast made your mornings have to be based around these times if you planned on eating there. The walk to get to this hotel is a battle, especially if you’re lugging big suitcases for your stay. The stairs can be slippery and jagged which can make that track tough to travel.

The room was dirty, had mould and hair from the previous guest, the living room floor has rust on the floor under the table. Upon speaking to Fotis the guest relations manager, he insisted the mould somehow grew overnight and said "it was my problem" to deal with.

We loved this suite. Front ocean view, very nice jacuzzi in the terrace with view to the ocean. The A/C works nicely in the summer. Two double beds and a nice bathroom with all the amenities. The host was very helpful. They can arrange transfer from and to the port.

Evacuated due to nearby fire, denied refund
I had to leave the hotel to stay at another hotel because there was a fire right below. It was spreading and getting closer and bigger, it was scary and guests were packing their luggage and preparing to leave. I especially had to leave due to asthma. I told the hotel I was leaving and asked for a refund, they declined. We stayed somewhere else and still had to pay for the room although the services were not rendered. Very bad experience.

Beautiful view
The view is amazing. I am disappointed that we missed eating breakfast on time. The breakfast is served after 8:30 in the morning while we flew back to Athens early morning. They do not tell us what time for breakfast after purchasing for a room. It was our loss.

Amazing view. All the staff, especially the hotel manager Panos, were amazing. Helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend it. Just be aware that there is isn't a lot of privacy on the balcony but you have some of the best views of the old port.

Beautiful hotel, with a wonderful view, super located and great service. Pablo was super kind and welcomed us very well. The only problem was the long stairs to get to the hotel, but Santorini has stairs to everywhere. So if you want to have a great view, I recommend Kratiras.

This was our first time in Santorini. The hotel had a beautiful view of the Caldera. The staff was amazing. My husband and I we had breakfast and Dinner at Katrins. It was really good food. The last night we had fish there, it was very freah amd delicious. The hotel had alot of dining options near by as well.

Terrible!!! 😭 I booked a luxurious hotel and Kratiras was not that! I honestly don't like to give bad reviews. However, I was extremely disappointed with this property. As a solo female traveller, I need to feel safe, I didn't at this hotel. The view is spectacular, but that's it! The view! I came to Santorini for my birthday and paid for luxury, but I didn't get it at Kratiras. The place is very old and unclean! The Lady/owner is nice but her husband isn't, he shouted at me because I wanted to get a cup to make some tea. Why there aren't any cups, but there's a kettle? I checked in late and checked out very early the next morning. I was in tears because I was not comfortable. The Lady at a nearby hotel, Daydream Suite was very accommodating and sweet. I spent the duration of my time there for less money. Kratiras needs to do major work on that property and the little pool was dirty.
