Bathala Resort
"I loved this hotel. Clean. Convenient location."
Henann Premier Coast Resort
"STAY AGAIN: YES (It was so peaceful, we extended a couple extra days, rather than go back to the city and that inherent Cebu noisiness and chaos) What more could you ask for in a beachfront room with a nice shaded patio. Hearing the calming tidal noises and watching the activities of others on the beach was entertaining. Sipping buko shakes from the lobby bar on the patio could never get old. Room was exceptionally comfortable with a separate sofa and desk areas. Bathroom was very nice with a completely separate soaking tub and shower area that included a rainfall shower head and plenty of hot water. Very good TV system. FOOD: The included breakfast buffet had excellent food options and was very flavorful. Room Service was good as well (pizza & pasta). All the staff were excellent and very helpful (Front desk, porters, housekeeping, & all restaurant staff). (Stayed at the adjacent Hennan Alona Beach property back in March, and they are both very enjoyable)"
Best Western Plus The Ivywall Resort-Panglao
"The staff were incredible. My only negative comment is the water is barely warm, never hot. Hot water should be steaming when turned on. Si Ky showers were meh everyday."
Alona Vida Beach Resort
"I only rated it “good” because there was remodeling construction going on. Otherwise, the service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. We love the location right on the beach and the restaurant food was great, especially the complimentary breakfast that didn’t skimp. I would definitely book again."
Bluewater Panglao Beach Resort
"Had a great stay here. I wanted to be away from the night life but also night far. This spot was quiet at night and let me get some rest. But when I was ready to hit the beach and explore around they called for a tuktuk for me. Price per ride was only 100php so well worth it. The resort has a nice spot for breakfast with a beach front view. It seemed to always be low tide during my stay so I didn’t use the private beach but it looked nice. The pool area is spacious and clean. Pool was clean as well. The room had an ice box for a AC in it. I loved that part. The staff was all super friendly and helpful. Any questions I had they were on it. I would absolutely stay here again."
South Palms Resort And Spa Panglao - Mgallery Collection
"Stayed here from Jul 6-Jul 10. Let me start by saying that I’ve traveled to a lot of places in the Caribbean and South Palms beat all them without a doubt! This place is excellent and the service is impeccable! Unlike places I’ve been to where the staff only care about tips so they would act interested, South Palms staff genuinely are attentive, hospitable, caring, helpful, and friendly. All without expecting any tips whatsoever! They just show up willingly and you’ll feel so at ease with everyone! They really all go above and beyond! My husband and I definitely tipped the staff because they deserve it! We got a pool access room and it was truly amazing! Very spacious and out of all the hotels I’ve been to, South Palms housekeeping seems to be early hahaha - that’s not necessarily a bad thing! But sometimes, we’re just not early birds! But my favorite has to be the turn down service. They really pay attention to details with this and I’m impressed with how they do it. The food at Uma is amazing! Even those who don’t necessarily eat Filipino food should still have options at Manja! Sirenna Bar is great and love the atmosphere! Keep it up South Palms! You definitely hold the title of most luxurious resort in Panglao! I’ll make sure to recommend this place to families and friends who plan on visiting Panglao in the future!"
Amihan Resort
"Lovely big rooms and a very well maintained resort. It has its own pool but you can also use the pool/jacuzzi/swim-up bar of the sister resort next door. It’s easily walkable to both the beach and main stretch of Alona Beach. I only had breakfast once but it was reasonably priced and very speedy. The only slightly negative is that the road immediately outside the resort is paved but the roads that link everywhere else are unpaved/rocky tracks and not very well lit at night. It’s not the most comfortable if arriving by taxi/tricycle."
Hayahay Resort
"Great value for being steps away from the beach. The room was perfect for what we needed it for with AC & ceiling fan to beat the heat. Outdoor hangers to dry your clothes were perfect. They have a restaurant on-site for convenience. We loved being able to use their beach towel service."
Amorita Resort Bohol
"Amorita is a fantastic hotel, the staff is excellent and the location is perfect, on Alona Beach but on a cliff so it was quiet. They have a lot of amenities for guests: free breakfast, free yoga, free archery lessons, free cocktails wes and friday. the tours are half the cody from South Palms. I would go back defintely. Joan was fantastic she marr sure to cehck on us everyday."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Panglao
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable period to visit Panglao is in February, March, and November, when hotel prices may drop to lower prices. For a thorough exploration of the island's key landmarks, historical sites, and cultural attractions — including its beaches, diving spots, islands, relaxing areas, snorkeling locations, chocolate-inspired venues, hilly terrains, swimming spots, guided tours, and dancing events — a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended. This budget-friendly option offers great value for money on a budget traveller’s itinerary.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: When planning a visit to Panglao, you could find attractive hotel deals by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com. You may discover discounted rates in the Last-Minute Deals area, which could be perfect for a spontaneous escape. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you're more likely to see flash sales and special promotions. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app lets travellers compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you secure the best option when rooms become available or prices drop.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay in a Panglao hotel. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels might offer a more personalised experience and potentially greater value. When you book with Hotels.com, we'll indicate if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average, and if it's on the higher side, we'll suggest alternative dates that may help you find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Panglao's excellent public transport links, you might find a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money on offer. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
