Virtual check in at a kiosk (think virtual banker machine at a drive through ATM) by the front desk worked fine, but when the line got longer, an enloyee appeared and checked us in. An older building, it is actually a Motel 6. It was clean and functional, recently renovated but the AC had not been upgraded-it sounded like an unbalanced washing machine when on, but in the heat wave, we were just glad it worked . Not sure why the smoke detector had a plastic bag over it, if it was malfunctioning or what. The water pressure was great, the shower was old but, again, functional. All carpets had been replaced with tile floors, which, as I was on a knee scooter, was great. All in all, a good place to stop for the night, right on the frontage road to I70 in Columbia (Como).

My wife and I had a really pleasant stay at the hotel. The highlight of our stay was the service of the staff, which was excellent! There was daily room service, which was a welcome surprise! The hotel was close to the major commercial spots of Columbia too. The only issue we had was the initial confusion about the name of the hotel as we saw Motel 06 everywhere. They are in a transitional phase and everything carries the old logo and the name. We were a bit hesitant to use the Check-in kiosk but that was no trouble at all. We will definitely stay at Hotel Blu again!

It was fine for the money. It was clean, safe, comfortable enough. No breakfast (which I understood). A few annoyances. This is a Super 8, so it was a little confusing to look for Hotel Blu and pull into a Super 8. There is a virtual check-in, which is fine, except when an employee is carrying on a loud conversation with others a few feet from you. No facial tissues (so used a lot of toilet paper for my runny nose). The toilet flapper didn't seat correctly, so I had to manually set it every time to stop the toilet from running.

The bathrooms need upgraded. There was a gap in the door where the lock is. No emergency exit notice on the door. The latch was broken on the upper lock. You could feel the other person move in the bed all night. No hair dryer or Kleenex And you could hear the outside noises thru the window like it was open. Not the greatest sleep.

The lock and door frame on room 222 was busted. No security latch available and you could look right into the room along that frame. The signage still says Motel 6 on the outside which was a little confusing. Maybe, the Hotels.com site should say something about that to people reserving that place.

First room i got the lights wouldnt work but one and wall plug-ins didnt work so the employee that was there with the kiosk told me they new abougght that room already so got a different room and the second one the air-conditioning hardly worked keep my deposit for a smoke violation they said and on top of that my son's foot got cut open in the pool area from broken glass but yet the still take my deposit if I would of known they would be like that I would of took him to hospital just to male a report abought the broke. Glass
