Had a 2 night stay with my Mum and I can't praise the hotel enough! The staff were friendly and helpful from start to finish, they hotel is really clean and environmentally aware... and the decor is just stunning! A really relaxing, comfortable bed too. We ate in the restaurant one night and it was reasonably priced for central London! Would happily return and defo recommend!

Great weekend stay. The reception staff are absolutely fantastic, friendly and helpful. The hotel is literally brand new, so everything works flawlessly and the decor feels fresh and not too generic. Location wise, lots of places to eat nearby, few minutes walk to the river and tube station. Only improvement could with the servicing of the rooms, they are done very late in the day and things like milk, water coffee etc were not topped up. Overall had a lovely stay and could happily recommend this hotel.

The Derby is a boutique hotel with high end decor and finishings. The staff was helpful and went out of their way to have our room ready prior to the standard check in time. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The room size was smaller than I expected for a King Suite. The small window and slanted ceilings made it seem even smaller. A bench or luggage rack would’ve been helpful as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We arrived at the hotel to drop our bags off but were in a hurry to get to an activity, so we asked if we could check in later when we returned\. I explained that we were short on time, but unfortunately the attitude of the staff member changed after making this request, which I found disappointing and didn’t really understand\. When we returned later that evening, we went to the bar\. There was only one other table of customers, and as there were four of us, we waited at the bar and ordered our drinks\. A service charge was added to the bill\. As the drinks were already quite pricey and we were planning to have a few rounds, we politely asked if the service charge could be removed\. The barman became quite defensive and tutted, which made the interaction feel unnecessarily uncomfortable, especially as there hadn’t really been any table service provided\. We then went to check in\. I had made two separate bookings under my name for two rooms\. When checking in, I was told that one of the rooms had been upgraded and was congratulated on the upgrade\. However, as both rooms were booked under my name and we were paying the same rate, it would have been nice and seemed fair for the upgrade to have been applied to both rooms, or at least for there to have been some explanation as to why only one room was upgraded\. Aside from this, the room itself was clean and the property is in a very good location\. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but the attitude of some of the bar and recept

An absolute (new) hidden gem for London hotel options! I had the pleasure of staying a few nights and I highly recommend it. The staff are lovely and a shout-out to the reception team who were friendly, helpful, and supportive. The hotel is very new and so has the new-smell vibe and so make for a very comfortable stay. The room was very well appointed and a comfortable size for central London, with excellent soundproofing from external noise and between rooms. The bed was great and the bathroom lovely. The breakfast has a nice range and was consistently high quality and a great way to start the day. So yes, overall a great stay and I'll definitely be back. Only small thing, very small, was that they have two different ways of signalling if you do or do not (eco-conscious) want housekeeping each day (one digital via a tablet the other a card for the door). Unfortunately didn't work out consistently and so likely a teething issue as only been open a few months. The housekeeping team were super lovely and responsive when we asked about it.

I stayed here for 2 weeks for our wedding, we had a great stay but there were some kinks that still need to be worked out considering this is a new hotel. First, the room and bed were very comfortable which is a plus. However, the AC unit is on a energy saving program where it is controlled by the back office on "AI" mode, so during a heat wave that is not ideal- we found ourselves constantly calling down to have them lower the temp to cool the room down. However, the staff was very kind and helpful. Also BIG shoutout to the bell staff & housekeeping they were incredible and so helpful the whole duration of our stay. There was an instance where I asked If I could store a bag of my wedding drops in the bell closet overnight so I could have more room in our room and have it easily accessible for early the next morning and the front desk person was very rude and told me that they don't allow overnight holds but luckily that was quickly rectified and the bell man- Sam helped take care of me but that initial response was very off-putting from a hotel guest perspective. In the lobby bar one evening and I was trying to order food before the 9:30 cut off but I couldn't get anyones attention and by the time I did at 9:32 I was told kitchen was closed, I had to leave to find food and right after I left the waiter came by to do last call for food even tho I was told kitchen was closed. They apologized right away when I returned. Great stay overall but some things need ironing out!

It's a very new hotel , so very clean and nicely decorated. Staff very friendly. Dorian in the cafe area rycroft I think was helpful .food was nice also . Breakfast was very nice also but need Canadian/English Bacon rather than just well done streaky Bacon . Would have been near perfect if not for the Bacon. Only one big problem with the hotel is if you are travelling alone with a wheelchair electric or otherwise you may find it difficult and frustrating. First wheelchair lift into building is ok ,if not a little temperamental. But the second is the problem. In order to either go to the restaurant or the toilets, you need to get a member of staff to turn it on with a key . Send you up ,you go do your thing then again need member of staff to get the key and send you down . This frustrating in not even embarrassing to sit around and wait publicly while staff happily i might add Hunt around for keys . Was told it was for health and safety reasons. But you can use the first lift no problem but second nope . Things can be done to the lift to mitigate any safety concerns. Luckily for us , there was two of us one in a chair so the other could hunt the key each time . Some sort of automated doors to the rooms lift might help. Overall hotel , staff and food great . But considering only opened this year disability concerns should be better.
