An interesting location with a very nice room. We needed help getting access to the building and our room and we got a quick response from the staff on duty.

Beautiful location. Giant rooms (or at least mine was). Was nice having coffee at the window and listening to the seals barking in the rocks below. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Photo is from just a few blocks from the Inn.

Really special place- we stayed in cabin 34 and it was surprisingly nice!! Large, spacious, with a peek of the ocean. I’d definitely come again. There were some ants but nbd. Some nooks and crannies could be cleaned better but again, nbd. Hot tub was a BLESSING. Quiet quiet grounds, comfy comfy bed. Big mirror by the bed for fun hanky panky ;)

The room exceeded my expectations, and the entire space is incredible. I met with the owners and spent every morning in The Store attached to the property. Highly recommend!

Just WOW! Meticulous restoration and reuse of an historic building. Our suite was spacious and airy. Tastefully decorated with every amenity one could want. And it was quiet. The bed was SO comfortable. We hope to return.

Very charming boutique hotel. Room size is generous. We have a young one and felt self conscious about the noise they make echoing down the halls. Maybe rugs would help but again, no complaints.

Beautiful room, with large window and window seat. Perfect for reading and listening to the seals every morning. Be aware that the property is staffed from 10-6. Be sure to check your email for check in information. We would definitely stay here again.

Room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was tiny. It was like showering in a phone booth with barely enough water pressure to get your hair wet.

Wow! I’m so glad we found this spot! Gorgeous historic space right across from the ocean. You can hear the sea lions in the morning! Nice comforts in the room…fridge, microwave, coffee and a lovely little balcony! Staff were superb and so knowledgeable! From hiking recommendations to dining options, they shared it all - which made our trip such a great experience!

6/10 Good

Beautiful historic property cleverly repurposed into a cozy inn. Our stay was delightful until synth harp music began blaring from the downstairs living room at 8 am. We have never experienced such a rude awakening and discovered it was set up on a Bluetooth speaker downstairs on what seemed to be max volume as we left - including commercials! If this is their way of making sure everyone is out earlier than the stated check out time I can attest it worked, but can’t recommend it for the same reason.

Huge rooms, nicely furnished. Couldn't get AC unit to turn on, water pressure in shower is non-existent.

Wonderful boutique hotel, a stone throw away from the ocean, with just a handful of well appointed rooms (former classrooms). The property shares a larger lot with a nicer campground part of the same organization. Quiet and peaceful overall. Note however that despite the beautiful decor and finish inside the main building, sound insulation is minimal in the bedrooms. Clean and modern bathrooms. Nice common space downstairs with couches, turntable and vinyls. However, no breakfast available. No vending machines either in the main building or around the campground. A limited selection of food, snacks and beverages is available either during opening hours (daytime) at the registration office (attached to the main building) or driving to Trinidad on the main highway (approximately 5 miles South where a limited number of very good restaurants (and Murphy's, a well appointed local grocery store) are located. Access to the ocean (beach and trails along the cliffs' edges) is through a very nice State Park (Sue Meg) a short drive North of the property ($8/day access). Beautiful vistas. However, no direct access to the ocean or any beaches directly in front of the property (private properties and cliffs). Within 10 to 25 miles to great State and National Parks immediately to the North on Hwy 101.
