Nostalgic
The Lobby area is beautiful. The whole atmosphere of the place is nostalgic but updated. Great location to walk to shops, restaurants and water front walking trail.

Fun history at Eureka Inn
We arrived in the late evening and had to leave early the next morning so didn't have a lot of time here. The lobby and common areas were really interesting. The rooms were fine, it was actually louder than I expected because our window faced the street. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Fantastic hotel!
Fantastic hotel! We didn’t know that it is also a historic hotel, with much history! This is not your typical hotel/motel. It’s like taking a step back in time to a more elegant way of life, with beautiful furnishings and overall ambiance. Portraits abound on the walls of many celebrities, politicians, and others who have stayed there since it’s opening in 1923.

Place was acceptable
The room was small. The sink was outside the bathroom and there was no fan! They only left us one water glass in the room and didn’t have any to replace the second one with. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was underwhelming. No WiFi in the room, only public areas. Looks like the Shining... in a kind of charming way.

Awesome historic Hotel. We got a key for the room which was cool.

Really enjoyed our brief stay in this historic hotel. The hotel has been renovated well, but still retains a great traditional feel and many original features!

When checking in not sure why the lady at the front desk asked the couple after me if this was there first time here and said welcome and being very polite but didn't do that to me.. Other than her, the white lady not the Asian I enjoyed my stay.. I love that it is a historic hotel.

If you are expecting amenities of modern hotels, bright lights, large bathroom, perfect WiFi, you may be happier at a chain motel. If you are looking for a step back in time, with a classic lobby, clean room and comfy bed, this is charming and unique place for a very reasonable price.

This place has had its day.
This used to be a destination hotel, not so much now, although we did enjoy the historical aspect of this place. I understand it is an old building that has been renovated several times, but the bathroom door hit the toilet and therefore the door could not be fully opened, at least in our room. It looked like there were different configurations in other rooms. The free WiFi did not work on our floor so I had to go to the lobby to use my iPad. The spa was closed, the Rose Room Cafe was closed as well and we had to go to the second floor to get ice. I felt like we got a second rate room because we booked through hotels.com. Maybe if we had paid the Inn’s rates we would’ve gotten a better room. However, the bed was comfy and we didn’t spend a lot of time there so all in all it wasn’t that bad. At least now I can say I stayed there. I wouldn’t book it again though.
