Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto
"I wish the hotel had told me that there was a strike going on with the security staff. I would have booked another hotel and gone to this hotel after the strike. It took over one and a half hours to get back into the hotel because the picket lines were stopping us from entering the property. After an evening out sitting on Derry road in the car for this time was not acceptable. I understand that unions can picket but if I had known about the strike I would have used another hotel."
Hotel X Toronto, a Destination by Hyatt Hotel
"Two couples spent 3 nights in this hotel. A great location by the harbour and awesome service. We enjoyed breakfast at Roses for two mornings, delicious and reasonable prices. Our last evening we decided to go to Valerie’s for dinner a bit of a disappointment. We did have a great server Jasmine who helped us out with understanding the menu. We were not aware that there was an upper and lower level until after our dinner. We were directed to the upper level. The tables were in rough shape no placemats or table cloths. My hands were sticking to the table plus the sun was in my face since there were no window shades. Based on the prices on the menu we thought this was an upscale restaurant. The pool area is lovely, but there was no mention that we needed to book an appointment to use the pool. We have to send a shout out to Tino the Bellhop person, very attentive, and aiming to please the guests. Mentioned shuttle service was available within a 5 mile radius which was helpful during our stay."

"I stayed here for the BTS concert in Toronto. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and modern. We got upgraded to a Junior Suite which had a corner balcony and King bed. It was really nice! The only downsides were the slow elevators and no fan in the bathroom. But honestly it was a really great stay! Would go back."

- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Richmond Hill is during January, February, and December, when hotel prices are lower. For a thorough exploration of the area's historical landmarks and cultural attractions, a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended. This timeframe allows visitors to appreciate the beautiful forests, enjoy birdwatching, and indulge in budget-friendly dining options, all while soaking in the local history and the warmth of friendly people. With its great value for money, Richmond Hill is an excellent choice for those travelling on a budget.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Hotels.com offers a variety of hotel deals, and when you visit the DealsOpens in a new window section, you're more likely to see discounted options. For urgent travel plans, the Last-Minute Deals section may help you find near-term savings on hotels in Richmond Hill. Additionally, by using the Smart Shopping comparison tool available via the app, you can compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you stay informed should rooms become available or rates decline.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate based on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates could assist you in finding a more affordable stay in a Richmond Hill hotel. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and, at times, greater value. When you make a reservation through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could lead you to a more budget-friendly option.
- Consider your location: Hotels located near the city centre tend to be more expensive, though with Richmond Hill's excellent public transport links, you might find a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
