Cartagena Walled City
Cartagena Walled City's stone ramparts and cobblestone streets transport you straight to colonial times. Dance to live music in historic plazas or marvel at Spanish architecture while sampling fresh ceviche from local vendors. Explore the Palace of Inquisition museum or climb the Clock Tower for breathtaking Caribbean views. Dining options range from upscale courtyard restaurants to affordable street food carts selling tropical fruits. Most attractions are within walking distance, though horse-drawn carriages offer a romantic alternative. Boutique hotels in restored colonial mansions provide the perfect base for exploring this UNESCO World Heritage gem.

Getsemani
Getsemani bursts with color and culture as Cartagena's trendiest historic neighborhood. Plaza Trinidad buzzes with salsa music and street vendors while stunning murals transform colonial walls into an outdoor gallery celebrating Afro-Caribbean heritage. Nearby, the iconic Clock Tower marks your entrance to this UNESCO World Heritage gem where local life and tourism strike a perfect balance. The dining scene offers authentic Caribbean flavors from fresh ceviche to grilled fish at budget comedores and trendy rooftops. Charming boutique hotels occupy restored colonial buildings with rooftop terraces and pools. Getting around is easy with frequent taxis and buses, though the neighborhood's cobblestone streets are best explored on foot.

Bocagrande
Bocagrande's peninsula skyline dazzles with gleaming high-rises facing the golden Caribbean beaches. Spend sun-soaked days lounging on the sand or dive into water sports like jet skiing and parasailing. When you need a break from the waves, upscale malls like Centro Comercial Nao offer air-conditioned retail therapy with designer beachwear and emerald jewelry. Sophisticated hotel bars and seafood restaurants line the main avenues, serving fresh ceviche and international cuisine until midnight. Luxury hotels and resorts dominate the accommodation scene with pools, spas, and concierge services. The neighborhood's wide sidewalks and abundant taxis make exploring this tourist-friendly slice of Cartagena a breeze.

El Laguito
El Laguito's Caribbean paradise stretches along a scenic peninsula with beaches on both sides. Morning strolls along the palm-lined promenades let you soak up panoramic ocean views while the lagoon offers peaceful paddleboarding. Sunset cocktails taste better when paired with the pink and orange sky, especially from the high-rise hotel bars that line the waterfront. Hotels range from mid-range to ultra-luxury with pools and private beach access. Beachfront restaurants serve fresh ceviche and international cuisine, though prices run higher than in downtown Cartagena. The area is wonderfully walkable, with taxis readily available for the quick 15-minute trip to Old Town.

Manga
Manga offers a peaceful peninsula escape with water views in nearly every direction. The neighborhood's stunning bay boardwalk lets you soak in Cartagena's shimmering waters while fancy yachts bob at Club Náutico marina. Elegant mansions with ornate balconies and colorful facades line tree-canopied streets, creating a refreshing contrast to the city's bustling tourist zones. Upscale restaurants serve fresh Caribbean seafood along the waterfront, perfect for sunset dining. Most travelers get around by taxi or on foot—the flat, shaded streets make exploring a breeze. Boutique hotels in converted historic mansions offer stylish stays with that perfect mix of luxury and local character.

Cartagena and related destinations
Wander through a walled colonial city where Caribbean breezes carry salsa music across plazas filled with fruit vendors in impossibly bright dresses. The Clock Tower marks your entrance to the old city, where balconies drip with bougainvillea above streets that seem designed for getting pleasantly lost. Palace of the Inquisition offers history with a macabre twist – torture devices displayed in a building beautiful enough to make you forget their purpose. Escape the afternoon heat at Teatro Heredia, a jewel box of a theater where performances feel intimate despite the grandeur. When the cobblestones get too hot, retreat to Bocagrande Beach or visit the National Aviary to witness Colombia's extraordinary bird diversity up close.

Hotel Caribe by Faranda Grand, a member of Radisson Individuals
"El Caribe is a hotel with the charm of the 50's and a lush tropical setting with multitude of pools set in between landscape that creates cozy areas...meant to spend the day in the resort. The dining room has excellent food and staff. The included breakfast is lavish. The part needing improvement are throoms in oceanside tower. Hallways need sprucing up and our room had maintenance issue. However they were responsive ,and the Mgr Alexis was very accommodating. Will return."
Hyatt Regency Cartagena
"I liked all of it."

Radisson Cartagena Ocean Pavillion Hotel
"Front desk staff and all staff were awesome. Breakfast was awesome. Amenities were great. The rooms were clean and spacious. The only thing I didn’t like was the paid minibar in the room. My daughter mistakenly drank one of the water and they charge $5 us for the bottle. Otherwise the hotel is excellent and I will be back."
Bondo Hometel
"WiFi is MID. the way the bathroom is set up (shower wise) water gets everywhere so you’ll need extra towels for the floor. Breakfast options are not. Good. Ambiance is great, pool area (rooftop area/ bar is great. Restaurant on site does close at 3pm, but the rooftop bar is open until 9pm and serves food. Room is great, water pressure is great and hot water is there. Elevator takes forever. Ladies at the front desk are nice. There’s like a nice coffee area that serves coffee and pastries in the lobby which is convenient. Only thing that ruined my trip was not having room service twice back to back so my garbage was full, towels were dirty. I did ask for it to be done but I’m not sure what happened. Not allowed to smoke so keep in mind if you are a smoker. Provides you with an iron, iron board, shower gel, blow dryer, towels, no wash cloths, air conditioners, 2 bottle of water. Has a kitchen and living are space and balcony view. Kitchen has stove with kitchen appliances and utensils."
ibis Cartagena Marbella
"It was ok hotel, nothing fancy. It was useful because the hotel was close to airport and it was clean, it has safety box a. It was bueno bonito y barato."
