This place was great! I was surprised when I walked in and the floors were concrete, but that actually added to the "industrial" feel of this place. The host was very responsive when I had questions about the key, and gave me some tips on how to make things more efficient for my and my guest. There are restaurants in the same complex (Mexican, Brewery, Indian, coffee, ice cream shop, etc. Also, there is a pool, and a game room that has billiards, foosball, ping pong, etc. All in all this was a great place to stay and I was very pleased. I will definitely stay here again if I am in Raleigh.

Great Location and amenities. I’m very comfortable apartment. Only thing is that the Only Give You One Key and you need a key to access everything in the building also, because it is an apartment complex, guest assistance is only available during working hours.

2 night stay at The Forge at RIW

We enjoyed our stay at The Forge in their studio suite. It was clean, cozy, and fully furnished. The only downside with this unit is the plumbing piping must be on the other side of the bathroom wall as you could hear shaking & running water from the unit above when they flushed their toilet.

Facilities were wonderful. Very comfortable amenities. Perfect location and beautiful courtyard. However, we were disappointed as there were dirty linens in the washer and the dishwasher was full of moldy dishes. Really wish those few things hadn't spoiled it, otherwise I would have given this place 5 stars all the way.

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The room was not cleaned to an acceptable standard upon arrival. After walking around the room for a short time, my socks became dirty, which made it clear the floors had not been properly cleaned. The bath mat was visibly stained, the walls were dirty and heavily scuffed, and the shower surround was old, worn, and showed visible signs of mold, which was both unpleasant and unhygienic. The check-in process was also unnecessarily tedious and frustrating. To make matters worse, we were told that we were expected to clean the room ourselves and take out the trash before leaving. This is completely unacceptable and not what anyone should expect when booking a hotel through Hotels.com. Overall, the cleanliness, condition of the room, and service fell well below reasonable hotel standards. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others.
