Hilton Garden Inn Birmingham Brindley Place

Hilton Garden Inn Birmingham Brindley Place

8/10 Good
"The hotel was in an excellent location and my five night stay was good value for money. The bedroom was spacious and well equipped inc a fridge which is really helpful when staying for a longer trip. The hotel is well maintained and the staff helpful. The conference organiser Dan was particularly helpful and approachable. Note that the bedroom doors are heavy and shut loudly which does mean that there is some external noise noticeable from the corridor at night."

"Hotel was clean, neat, and today. Staff were friendly. Room was spacious and well prepared however I could not get the air conditioning to work, which ultimately disturbed my sleep. The breakfast was very basic, but that’s a given these days. I can’t remember the last time I stayed in a hotel and was actually impressed by the breakfast offering. The general food on offer was also very limited. I ordered pizza and some chips. The pizza was like a frozen one from a supermarket as were the chips. Very overpriced and poor quality."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Birmingham

  1. Book for the cheapest times: Birmingham offers great value for money, especially for those visiting on a budget. The cheapest time to explore the city is in January, August, and December, when hotels may drop to more affordable rates. A stay of at least 2 to 3 days is ideal for discovering key landmarks, historical sites, and cultural attractions, including theatres, shopping districts, dining venues, bars, and monuments. This period allows visitors to enjoy a range of experiences, from exploring the city's rich history and vibrant cultural scene, to appreciating its budget-friendly atmosphere.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: If you're planning a trip to Birmingham, you may discover attractive hotel deals by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com. For spontaneous getaways, check the Last-Minute Deals area, where you could find discounted rates on hotels near your travel date. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool on the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're more likely to spot opportunities to save. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you may also stay informed about flash sales and sudden promotions.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates may help you save on your stay in a Birmingham hotel. For those seeking something different, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and sometimes offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your selected dates is above or below the average, and if it is on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you find a better deal.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but Birmingham’s excellent public transport links mean you may find a more affordable independent hotel further out that remains well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations can offer a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
