Sun Moon Lake Fuli Hot Spring Resort
"All good except the smell in the room due to an old hotel."
Shui Sha Lian Hotel
"The view from our lake view room was amazing. The room was comfortable and the hotel was at a convenient spot for local eating and activities/transportation."
Sun Moon Lake Apollo Resort Hotel
"Friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful view from the balcony and from inside the room. Convenient location with quick walk to the ferry as well the bus station and restaurants."
Laurel Villa
"This villa is absolutely excellent! Both the host and hostess were incredibly warm and hospitable, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was healthy, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared, and the villa was kept in impeccable condition. The highlight of our trip was the early-morning bike ride with our wonderful host, Wayne Wang. He took us to some of the most beautiful and scenic spots around Sun Moon Lake and even captured incredible photos for us along the way. The scenery was truly breathtaking! Many thanks to Wayne and his wife for their outstanding hospitality. We had a truly fantastic stay and will cherish the wonderful memories we made here. Highly recommended!"
The Lalu, Sun Moon Lake
"Very special and unique hotel. Must come once life"
Applause In The Mountain
"There are multiple buildings in this property, all require a bit of walking. Make sure that you don't carry a heavy suitcase. As the property is built along the mountains, some walkways can be difficult with heavy luggage. Yet, the friendly staff will drop off the luggage as close to the buildings as possible. There is no restaurant close by but the property offers hotpot dinner (one person per pot) which is pretty good, big portion too. Since the property is deep in the mountain, I would recommend aim at arriving the property before dark. Close to the property (about 20 min walk), there is a trail that leads to a spot where sunrise can be viewed. However, the signs are not that clear. Clarify with the staff the night before you go. All in all, this hotel is good, room is clean with good mountain view."
Jia's Homestay
"Great staff and clean which was a pleasant surprise in a small mountain town. Had a great meal and tea. The tea is a must have if you enjoy Taiwan mountain tea. "

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Lugu
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Lugu is during May, September, and November when hotel prices typically see lower prices. For those looking to immerse themselves in the area's landmarks, history, and culture, a stay of at least 2 days is recommended. This allows ample time to explore the region’s natural parks, museums, and cultural sites, all while enjoying the company of friendly locals. Visiting during these months not only provides great value for money but also the opportunity to experience Lugu without the crowds. Plus, prices may drop even further, making it an excellent choice for travellers on a budget.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Lugu, you might start by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you could find discounted rates on hotels near your travel date. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you may stay informed about flash sales and special promotions. The Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make an informed decision. If rooms become available or prices drop, you could be among the first to know, increasing your chances of securing a last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you save on your stay at a Lugu hotel. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised touch and, at times, better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll suggest alternative dates that may be more affordable, helping you to secure a better deal.
- Consider your location: Opting for accommodation near key attractions or city centres may provide convenience but typically comes with a higher price tag. For more favourable rates, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to your intended destinations. You could also look into independent hotels situated a bit further out, which are more likely to offer a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
