The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the train station, and also close to main tourist attractions and bars and restaurants. The staff was super friendly and our room was clean and had a great view over the city. The room was also quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Room has no drinking water. When asked for it they said we are a 3 star hotel and you can get water from the vending machines. Our website does not state we will provide water on the room Injury hazard - while stepping out from the bathtub which is rather higher than normal your foot could very likely hit a protruding 3/4 of an inch of door stopper placed on the floor of the washroom right in the middle length of the outside of the bathtub. Breakfast : no toaster , they use a press grill as a toaster. The cereal dispenser knobs are so loose that most cereal drops to the base of the dispenser than the bowl . The juice dispenser dispenses water and sugar syrup. The croissants even though seemed hit and fresh, were raw and it was like putting raw dough in your mouth. And much more

With the exception it is close to the train station and eateries nearby, I cannot recall how the room looks like. If you are used to the hospitality and room amentities of asian hotels, dont expect this from this hotel like most Italian hotels.

Location, Location, Location I chose this hotel because it was very close to the train station.. it is, no dragging bags thru the town to get to our hotel. The staff was excellent and very helpful. The room was good, roomy and came with a (large) double balcony. The view of Florence on our balcony was excellent. The A/C worked well, the outside temperatures approached 90 deg F (32 deg C) Even though of almost no use to a tourist, the Tram station is actually closer than the "main" train station. (not a reflection on this hotel, but worth noting): Be aware, Florence has changed over the years, theft and pickpocketing are more common and law enforcement presence is rare. As a tourist we carry little or nothing of significant value, our luggage is old and NOT designer.. We were not a victim of any crime. Yet we know 2 other sets of tourists that had luggage stolen, and / or were pic pocketed.

The rooms were spacious. The hotel itself was clean but the outside area was dirty, and since it was across from the train station, a lot of unruly people were hanging around. There are stairs to reception and there is no elevator until you get to reception.
