Yeosu boasts beautiful flowers, blooming with every season. Enjoy the scenery of Odongdo Island with it's beautiful camellia flowers. If you're lucky, you might be able to see the red camellia that blooms in the white snow. From April, you can see yellow rapeseed blossoms. There are many things for couples to enjoy together, such as Baekyado, a walkable island, Seo Market full of gourmet restaurants, and Cafe Rostia, which features a large swing in front of the sea.

    Yeosu Marine Cable Car

    The Yeosu Marine Cable Car is a convenient means of transportation to Odongdo Island and Dolsan Park, but it is special because you can see the beautiful view of the sea at night. Each stop of the Yeosu Marine Cable Car has a beautiful night view, so the waiting time tends to increase in the evening. You can also enjoy the beautiful night view from the 3rd floor of the cable car boarding building in Dolsan Park, so consider a visit even if you do not take the cable car.

    Hyangiram Hermitage

    Hyangiram Hermitage, meaning looking at the sun, is located on Geumosan Mountain, famous for its sunrise spot. If you go up the steep hill, you will see the Hyangiram Hermitage Ticket Office. There are two ways to get from the ticket office to the main hall. If you choose the stairway, you can find the statue of a young monk that expresses 'See no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil' of Dhammapada. After passing Deungyongmun, a gentle walking path begins, and when you climb to Daeungjeon Hall, you can see the open sea, so you will feel like your hard work is rewarded.

    Yulchon Banwol Village

    During April, in Yulchon Banwol Village, you will find yellow rapeseed flowers rippling from the roadside to the end of the sea. Among the yellow rapeseed flowers, you'll find cute and lovely sculptures to take pictures of. When summer comes after the rapeseed blossoms fall, beautiful yellow sunflowers will bloom. Yulchon Banwol Village is also famous for its peaceful and beautiful sunset. A lot of people visit here because there is nothing blocking the view, so you can take great photos.

    Baekyado Island

    Baekyado Island, which was previously only accessible by boat, has been connected by a bridge since 2005, making it more convenient to travel by land. When you climb to the top of Baekhosan Mountain, the main peak of Baekya Island, you can see the beautiful scenery of the Dadohaehaesang National Park. The ecological trail, designed to look around Baekyado Island, is 4.7km long in total and is neither too long nor too short, so you can enjoy the scenery while walking. Instead of a sandy beach, Mongdol Beach with it's round pebbles and the white Baekyado Lighthouse are beloved by couples for their romantic atmosphere.

    Yeosu Rostia

    The symbol of Cafe Rostia, an ordinary square building with a total of two floors, is a large swing facing the sea. The view is beautiful and the interior is spacious, so you can visit it at any time. When the weather is nice, it is recommended to sit outside on the terrace. You can enjoy the calm and clear sea of Yeosu up close. In addition to coffee, Rostia also sells pasta, burgers and beer, so you can have a simple brunch. The burgers are especially delicious.

    Hamel Lighthouse

    Hamel Lighthouse is an unmanned lighthouse built to commemorate Hamel's return to his home country. Hamel is famous for the Journal of Hendrick Hamel. The lighthouse has a romantic atmosphere with its red colour contrasting with the blue sea and sky. It’s loved greatly by couples. The nearby Hamel Pavilion is open to the public with no entrance fee, and you can learn historical facts about Hamel's drifting. Also, at night, the lighthouse and Geobukseon Bridge are lit up and really shine, so you can enjoy a beautiful night-time view.

    Angel Mural Village

    Angel Mural Village is located on the hills of Goso-dong and overlooks Yeosu and the sea. Divided into nine zones, each zone of the village sports a unique theme. You can even see murals of Tazza and Sikgaek, two works by manhwa (comic book) artist Huh Young-man, a Yeosu native. Climb to the top of the village where glimpses of old Yeosu can still be seen, and you'll end up at Opodae, which offers a panoramic view of Yeosu. Angel Mural Village is popular with younger crowds thanks to the numerous photo spots and charming cafes. The area is bigger than it seems, so plan your visit well in advance.

    Yeulmaru Art Center

    Cutting-edge arts and performance space with jaw-dropping design

    Yeulmaru Art Center is a cultural arts space with state-of-the-art facilities and striking architectural design. The complex is reputed to have the most complete set of art-themed facilities in the Jeonnam area, thanks to its on-site theatres, exhibition rooms, gardens, observation platform and more.

    The site is dominated by the impressive Great Glass River – a 152-metre-tall glass-roofed structure that elegantly follows the curves of the mountain slope on which it's built.
