Great family-owned motel.

GREAT STAY

Very cozy stay. The family that runs the place is friendly and always around it seems. Would stay there again when visiting Santa Fe.

It was a very quaint Spanish style motel. It was clean with comfortable beds.

Charming former motor court motel. Clean and well maintained. Could have used tissues and a hair dryer (for my wife) in the room. Otherwise a solid place to stay for the value.

Wonderful experience, fair price, and exceptional staff!

Cottonwood Courts is charming, inexpensive and just a simple place to stay when visiting Santa Fe. I hope no one ever buys it, destroys all the character and paints it white, grey, and black.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at Cottonwood - It was clean, comfortabel & safe. It is an older complex, but it has been well maintained by the owner who is on-site and the rates are affordable.
DIANE, 4-night trip

Convenient and relatively affordable place to stay while exploring Santa Fe. Bed was very comfortable, room was very clean, cute nd comfortable. All good!
Elizabeth, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

I enjoyed the charming New Mexico adobe architecture and viga ceilings, the vintage route 66 vibes. The location is convenient to walk to the popular The Pantry restaurant but on a busy street. I also enjoyed sitting on the porch chairs outside to watch the sunset. The family rooms have two seperate bedrooms which was nice for our family of four. The room was very clean even though it's an older building. We'd stay here again.

Loved the quaint building. Bed hard in first room. Had to change to another room for an extra night...much better bed.
Ray, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

This is an older motel, but very nice. The gentleman that check us in was very friendly & helpful. We had a small problem with the room & he fixed it right away. It did not have very many electrical outlets, but we made it work.
Clara, 1-night trip

Beautiful room and big comfy bed. Rustic exposed log beams. The room had AC but it wasn’t on when we got there so it took a few hours to get cool enough to be there.
Pete, 1-night trip

A lot of attention to detail on the outside and inside of this Pueblo style building. Comfortable, clean, and friendly. Great value for the price. Motel on a busy main street yet traffic not heard inside. Heater noisy when on but room warmed up quickly.

The staff was friendly, but the furniture was seriously old and outdated and needed replacing. I wouldn't stay here again.
Yvonne, 3-night trip

Air conditing wasnt great.

We arrived late & the "Cottonwood" sign was not lighted. There was no street lighting either. There wasn't much lighting for the office. Almost did not find the location. Once we got into the room, it was great. I would stay again since I know where it is.

Rustic room with log ceilings.

It’s very rustic. Has A C window unit. It was difficult to reach and turn on. Room smelled musty. We had to open windows for air circulation. You hear cars driving by. Had no place to hang clothes. we didn’t use closet bc it Smelled. It has limited plugins. We stayed bc price was reasonable but would not return.
2-night trip

2/10 Poor

The most miserable motel I've ever had to stay at. From the bitter, sadistic old woman at check-in, to the broken heater in the middle of January (which the bitter, sadistic old woman openly tried gaslighting me about, before refusing to do anything about it, not even a room change despite only one other room in the whole motel being occupied), to the lukewarm shower (in a cold bathroom), to the lack of blankets, to everything being slightly grimy to the touch -- everything about this place is miserable.
Jo, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Would definitely stay again

The motel is not the fanciest but clean and convenient to what we wanted to see in Sante Fe. We had the family room which was exactly what I envisioned - two separate bedrooms with a shared bath in the middle. Each bedroom had its own TV. One room had the coffee pot and the other had the microwave and fridge. The owner was very friendly and helpful and highly recommended a restaurant (The Pantry) within walking distance (2 blocks). This motel was the perfect location if you want to be close to downtown Sante Fe and historical places like the San Miguel Mission and the Loretto Chapel. They were just a 10 minute drive away and parking was pretty easy to find. We were in Sante Fe after staying one night in Bernalillo for the hot air balloon fest. If you don’t like crowds, try the 4th floor parking garage at Sandia Resort for the best view of the balloons each morning.

Bed Bugs

Bed bugs chewed me up. The woman working was very nice and offered to give me half of a refund. Over the next few days, many more bites showed themselves on me and my husband. I called Cottonwood over and over, but they never answered. Contacted hotels.com and they gave us a credit of $25 for the future (not a full refund). Needless to say, won't stay there again, and will stop using hotels.com also.
