The hotel was conveniently situated in the center of the city and near the central plaza, El Zócalo.
The building is nice, spacious, with an interior open air patio for breakfast and lounging.
The staff was friendly, helpful, courteous, knowledgeable.
They were painting the exterior of the hotel right around the window of our room and there was construction in the streets in front of the hotel. It made for a noisy and dusty environment.
Our room was smaller but with lots of natural light. Without any way to block that light, it woke us up early in the mornings.
There was not enough storage space for our clothes for 3 days. There could have been more hooks to hang our wet towels.
The water pressure in the shower was ok but it took a long time for the hot water to arrive. And when it came it was hard to adjust it to a usable temperature.
Breakfast was good, plentiful and varied, Oaxaca and Mexican style.
We would surely stay at hotel Trebol again.
