Learn more about Berastagi

Berastagi is well-known for its attractions such as Berastagi Fruits Market and Taman Mejuah Park.

This volcano is active with steam vents and hot springs. However, it has not errupted since 1881. You can take a public bus to the bottom of the park and then walk to the peak. The majority of the way up is on a paved road - which totally sucks in my opinion - but then you get to the base camp where the road ends. Continue on the path up to the top and explore away! We spent between 2-3 hours once we reached the top, climbing different areas and so on. The view of Mt. Sinabung is incredible, especially since it was erupting while we were here. You can take a different way down, ending by hot springs in a small town, which is much nicer than the way up.
