"I have stayed at various Ayres properties, every thing looks good. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is due to the man at front desk on Sunday. I called front desk and he was a little rough on his answers. Other than that I enjoy my stay! "

"The check-in staff was aloof. He was very disturbed that I tried to find a lower price on Expedia. His attitude was he would rather be anywhere but helping me. But when a pretty young lady came in, he was all smilesand very helpful. Normally, I would not be so put off by a staff member's behavior, but this young man was more than discourteous. He needs some training in good old hotel customer service, no matter the customer. I even tried to joke around with the young man. He wasn't having it. We won't be coming back."

"Historic charm! This hotel has a level of charm that newer hotels don't. The lobby and other public areas are beautiful. The pool is just right. The staff is nice (but beware that valet can be a longer wait than you want). Note this reservation was for a basic room. And, the room was very basic. The bathroom is outdated - the fixtures in the shower are probably from the 1970's. Maybe a deluxe room has more updates."

"Safe surrounding area, very clean, staff very nice, room was spectacularly clean, comfy bed/pillows, lots of space, whole kitchen with dishwasher/stovetop/glass & dishware/full size fridge & automatic ice maker. Exceeded my expectations! Also appreciate the elevator as I have mobility issues"
