Room - Spacious and luxurious. The photos are accurate. It feels more like an upscale apartment than a hotel room. The bathroom was beautiful and modern. The whole unit received a lot of natural light.
Hotel and Restaurant - The lobby is beautifully furnished, and the landscaping is beautiful, full of trees and bushes that emphasize the Mediterranean vibe. We stayed at the part that had the Sofia Garden restaurant. The food is delicious but expensive, and service is slow and surprisingly inexperienced. For breakfast, the Sofia Terrace serves a broad and delicious Turkish breakfast buffet. The live music was charming, a singer strumming a guitar, playing classic songs from around the world. It's worth getting a balcony room so you can hear it from your balcony.
Spa - Reserve ahead for the cistern jacuzzi. We tried last minute but weren't able to get a spot.
Service - Next level. The two desk people, Olga and Aren, made sure to make us welcome and comfortable. They were friendly with the kids as well, helping them feel welcome. There were also niceties, like welcome snacks that weren't packaged, but prepared, like a walnut in a fresh fig.
Location - Walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, or Grand Bazaar. (Note that the walk is not so accessible, it's cobblestone hills.) It was also easy to see a whirling dervish show. We were also able to take the tram back to the cruise port.
I would definitely stay here again when visiting Istanbul.
