Would not recommend.
Arrived early, 12.15pm, checked in but was told our room was ready but we couldn’t go to our room before 2pm.???????? A free continental breakfast was unsatisfactory. A bowl of fruit looked bruised and fermented. One guest asked for some more raisin bread and was told “No, you have to use the bread that’s there” My yoghurt was suspect so I left it. Room was quite good, but bathroom amenities were poor.

Convenient; but a bit cramped
After traveling from London to York and than Edinburgh, we ended in Oxford for a 2 night stay to end our family vacation in the U.K. The hotel was easy enough to find and, as advertised, parking was first-come / first server. The parking quarters are very - VERY - tight. You may want to consider parking at the P&R down the road and Uber al walk in if you drive anything of size over a mid-size sedan. We were driving a van (9 seats) and unfortunately had some damage upon exiting. The rooms themselves are OK. The layout is interesting and perhaps a bit confusing, as it's basically two joined terraced houses. Be ready to climb the narrow stairs with full suitcases, but luckily we were only two flights up. The rooms themselves were cozy (=small) but clean and comfortable. The showers were good and clean, again somewhat cramped but the location (10 minutes from the center) made up for that. The bed however is not from these days. We had a doubles room, but the bed was hardly large enough for two. Again - it made for two cozy nights. The road in front is busy with, surprisingly, a lot of emergency traffic (FD, PD) so if you are sensitive to sound perhaps ask for a room at the back. The service and breakfast were good. Recommended for a casual stay near the center, but don't expect any frills.

It was an average stay, we wouldnt come back.
The girl at reception is not very welcoming, she seems to be busy all the time with other stuff. She didnt explain us anything about the rooms, breakfast times, etc. The bathroom is very small and the fan is so loud, it turns on everytime you switch the light on. Breakfast was scarce and we had to ask the lady in charge to refill the food trays. Location is good but not too close from the city center. It was an average stay, we wouldnt come back.

Excellent stay
We found the owner to be very friendly and helpful with one or two small issues but these were sorted quickly. One of the days happened to be the hottest of the year so far, June, so the owner even placed an efficient fan in our room. Breakfast was just right, good choice, no fry ups and a good selection of vegetarian/gluten free meals for my wife. Location very good for city center with a bus stop almost outside the B/B. Would definitely stay here again.

Poor 2.0
First experience at Oxford. With a high expectation for knowledgeable, highly educated people, culture and history, I arrived at this "3 star" hotel and began a horrible experience. Checking in at the closed door, very friendly written, in two languages including CHINESE, "just ring once the door bell." However, there were two door bells there and one was not working. Finally one guest there opened the door to get out, and I was in after 10 minutes of waiting just at the door. No elevator, and really hard stairs to carry my heavy luggage until the third and top floor. Asking for a bus going to the University of Oxford--anyway maybe the only attraction in the area, the answer, clear and strong, "I don't know." Thinking about work and having no time to say more, I got to sleep and got up the next morning, finished my breakfast and was in a hurry to go to the conference. Right at the time that I felt that I might need to go for a long, long walk, the same woman knocked on the door and with a very serious voice, saying, "you have to leave this room because you booked another ROOM. I was thinking that I was in a Shakespeare's Mid-Summer series, and did not know how to cope with this rude, irresponsible attitude. Being nice enough to cooperate, I left the key and asked her to move the luggage. Being back, I found myself in a much smaller room with conditions not at all comparable to the first one--already poor for the "3 star" label. Just one comment--run away from this place!

Comfortable stay.
Good stay overall. Minor quibble about poorly fitting door to room 11 so it rattled in the frame every time the front door was open I had to wedge it in place.

No major complaints
Convenient location to walk to the centre. Had a room on the top floor away from street so was quiet. But it meant carry luggage up quite a few stairs in a narrow stair case. Walls a bit thin so could hear conversations in adjoining room. Very good breakfast but if you come down late the room is quite full.

Cozy B&B
Outstanding service, friendly and efficient staff and great food for breakfast- beds were excellent -heating and water were excellent- loved the tea and water included in the room- there was not a visible manager present- there was paperwork that introduced him and gave a phone number to call for emergencies- the walk from the main section of Oxford was a little long and local restaurants were not well advertised- overall an awesome place to stay for those on a budget - would return to stay here again
