My stay at Diamond Lesvos was a complete disappointment. Upon arrival, I was not given the balcony room with the view that I had booked. Instead, we were placed in a completely different ground-floor room with direct outdoor access. There was also a cat clearly used to entering the room, constantly trying to get inside through the door and windows, scratching and knocking when it couldn’t.
When I complained, the explanation was simply: “The photos on the platform look like that,” which is unacceptable. Only after insisting and mentioning that I also work in hospitality were we moved to the actual room shown in the booking photos.
Unfortunately, the second room was a hygiene disaster. The towels, pillows, bed sheets, and even the floors were covered in cat hair. The bathroom was extremely small and uncomfortable. After taking a shower, cat hair would stick to your body again while drying off. It felt incredibly unhygienic.
Even though I had fully paid for 2 nights, I left 1 night early because I could not tolerate the conditions any longer. No refund or compensation was offered, and I had to book another hotel immediately.
If hygiene is missing, nothing else matters. Easily one of the worst accommodation experiences I’ve ever had.
