This was one of the most pleasant stays at a "hotel" I've ever experienced, I would have happily stayed more than one night if needed. The setting is lovely and peaceful. The room was quiet at night and our beds were comfortable. Our room faced the woods with a patio which we spent a lot of time on. The facility is on the older side, but everything was clean and organized and we had everything we needed. You can park close to your room and I love that it's only 2 stories with outside access (like a motel). Staff was all very friendly. My ONLY suggestions would include 1. a protein option for breakfast- in fairness it is a continental breakfast, but there really aren't any close restaurants in the area (at least breakfast options) it was a lot of bread/carbs and sugar. And 2. with being on the ground floor, it would be nice to have an additional security/lock on the sliding glass door to the patio- it's just a simple latch, which felt a little insecure. Overall we had a wonderful experience and I would absolutely come back! Good job Sweet Briar! I feel like we found a gem!
