8/10 Very good

Very good location and perfect breakfast buffet with all delicacies you could wish for. Very friendly staff! The room itself was a slight disappointment with a view to the parking lot and a very small module type bathroom. The bathroom was without shower cabin/walls and no counter space for toiletries, additionally, no sound proofing from the bathroom to the room at all. Accessibility to the room (also with heavier luggage) was an issue as the room needed to be accessed outside and/or by stairs. Otherwise, the room was clean and nicely decorated with comfy beds.

Friendly and welcoming hotel with excellent food

This is one of our favourite hotels. The staff is super nice and we always feel welcome. The dinner in Aanaar is highly recommended, and also the breakfast is very good. We like the location and views a lot as well. We will definitely come back, again.

A very special place

It was such a great here that we stayed an additional night. We loved our deluxe double room looking through the forest to the river. The heated floor in the bathroom was great. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Breakfast had lots of options and specialized in Finnish products. I especially enjoyed the cloudberry jam.

8/10 Very good

Mostly stunning. However, it's worth noting that this hotel is all about the glorious communal areas. The room (we went for one with a private sauna) was small, and pretty basic - with not even a bedside table on one side of the bed. No tissues in the room, and only a combined shower get/shampoo in the bathroom, if that sort of thing bothers you. These rooms also have a sauna building in front of them, so their view of the river is obscured. We were on a half board package. The food was superb - although it's worth noting the evening meal included is absolutely fixed. The bar has a good selection of drinks. All the staff were absolutely excellent. All personable and happy to chat. Breakfast buffet was also superb (with the exception of the coffee machine which wasn't a bean machine, and therefore the coffee was pretty naff) All in all - not a cheap stay, but a great hotel in a wonderful location - with amazing staff and great food

Tastefully decorated, peaceful, charming hotel. Delightful staff. Lovely cocktails and fine dining. Very good breakfast. Activities available to book directly with hotel or independently. Close walking distance to fabulous Sami Siida museum and a great 6.3 km walk through the woods and along the river. Walking distance to a couple of eating places nearby and to the bus stop to take bus to Ivalo or Saariselka. Sauna with jacuzzi can be rented for a small group. Highly recommend

8/10 Very good

A very warm welcome by the lady at reception and all services explained. The restaurant is very fancy with Michelin quality meals. I was unable to have breakfast as it started at 07.00 but with a 10.00 flight departure from Ivalo, it would have been a little tight. The timings of the Ivalo flights aren’t great but maybe adjust the timings a little so people can have a bite to eat? (Start 06.45 for example). The rooms are nice and cosy but it would be good to have something next to the bed to put things on. If not a bedside table maybe at least a little shelf as nowhere to put your phone. Also good to know is that there is no lift so tricky if you have a heavy suitcase but despite of this, I warmly recommend this hotel.

We had an Artic room in the new building. Because of the black walls it made a dark impression. Window is only half of the wall. Beds are comfortable. Good lights to read in bed. Good shower. Lights in the bathroom are placed wrongly. No light in your face when looking in the mirror. Restaurant Aanaar is great. We booked half board and it was delicious en surprising. Nice view on the river while eating.

Sleep here; eat elsewhere

The newly renovated hotel boasts an excellent location in Inari. Yet, BEWARE, no cash accepted, and the restaurant is grossly overpriced for Lapland standards. The restaurant has been turned toward high dining, which I consider a catastrophic mistake. So, eat elsewhere.

2/10 Poor

Low quality hotel

It was horrible room was very small it was not given as it’s advertised in the photos to go to bed we must have to squeezed with the walls never had such a bad hotel in our whole travel history. Wouldn’t really recommend anyone to go and stay in this hotel it just to expensive doesn’t worth it. And also for every single thing they charge you even to tell you northern lights they charge you. I was hoping at some point maybe they will charge us to breath. Stuff was rude…

Beautiful rapids view and the best location

We stayed in the River Hotel building (Koskihotelli) next to the main building. We had direct rapids view, an own electric sauna, a small fridge, self-adjustable air conditioning and a terrace. The breakfast buffet was good with some local specialties but sometimes we had to wait when bowls were empty. The dinner restaurant Aanaar is excellent, one of the best in Finland, but you need a table reservation. Rapids view is beautiful from the restaurant, too. The location of the hotel is the best in Inari. There are trees and rapids around the hotel but it is only a short walking distance to sights (Sámi Museum Siida, Sámi Cultural Centre Sajos, Inari Lake Cruises) and services (restaurants, shops). Hiking trails start from the hotel yard. Juutua Circle Trail is easy to walk and you see both the suspension bridge and extremely beautiful rapids of Jäniskoski. If you are interested in a more challenging hike, choose a trail from Jäniskoski to Otsamo Fell. It is the best scenic spot near Inari center. It takes 6-8 hours to walk from the hotel to Otsamo Fell and back. I have stayed also in other hotels in Inari but Tradition Hotel Kultahovi is my favorite hotel in Inari. Book a room in the River Hotel building (Koskihotelli) if rooms are available there. So you get a better room and beautiful view is guaranteed.

6/10 Good
