The Naini Retreat, Nainital
"Our room was not with a view."
Hotel Himalaya
"We had a pleasant stay at Himalaya Hotel, Nainital. The deluxe room offered an amazing lake view, and the food was delicious. The staff was courteous, friendly, and always ready to help. A special thanks to Pankaj Joshi and Sunil Kumar for assisting us with our luggage during both pickup and drop. The dining staff was also well-behaved and suggested some great nearby places to visit. The only area for improvement would be the room cleanliness, as we noticed a few cobwebs. Overall, it was a good experience, and the excellent hospitality made our stay enjoyable."
Rosefinch Sarovar Portico Bhimtal

Naukuchia House, Naukuchiatal - IHCL SeleQtions
"Great hotel and friendly staff."
Namah Nainital, a member of Radisson Individuals Retreats
"Property location is really nice with good views, food was good. Room needs bit of furnishing, as there were no wardrobes.. Slightly over priced compared to the amenities in the room. Hospitality was better when this hotel was called Manu Maharani, this time felt like corporate vibe with less personal touch.. More like money and profits.. Thanks"
Hotel Vinayak Nainital

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Nainital
- Book for the cheapest times: Nainital offers great value for money, especially on a budget, with lower prices during May, July, and September, when hotel rates might drop. For a comprehensive exploration of Nainital's landmarks, history, and culture—including attractions such as the lake, zoo, temples, mountain, boating, horseback riding, forests, scenery, hilly regions, and wildlife—a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover enticing last-minute deals to Nainital, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. To stay informed about flash sales and exclusive promotions, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com. This way, you could find opportunities to save on your bookings. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re well-informed should rooms become available or prices adjust, making your last-minute getaway even more appealing.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate based on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a better deal for your stay in a Nainital hotel. If you are seeking a more distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and, at times, enhanced value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we will suggest alternative dates that may offer more affordable options.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but with Nainital's excellent public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well-connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative locations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
