Marsha (owner) of Empire House, was amazing! She supplied ice, coffee (including coffee machine), cream/sugar, bottled water, granola snacks and so much more. The room was perfect for 2 people! Located where convenient to walk to stores, restaurants and the casino. Perfect view of the Ohio River!

This is a very unique, historic hotel overlooking the scenic banks of the Ohio River. The room was cozy, clean and very comfortable. I also appreciated the second-floor balcony, which provided a lovely view of the river, as well as the complementary tea/coffee supplies. I highly recommend this traditional hotel, especially for history lovers and explorers in search of memorable experiences!

Beautiful location overlooking the river. Staff was very friendly. Mattress could be replaced. It sinks in the middle quite a bit. It was ok for a night, but would have been rough any more than that. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay!

Charming Empire House

Very quiet and peaceful, the over 200 year old hotel had charm. Management was friendly and helpful. We would gladly stay there again. The view of the Ohio River and the walkway was a nice treat. Price was quite affordable as well.
