Third time staying at this hotel. The location is halfway between the airport and city centre..love staying here for the convenience. The tram line and train station are literally outside the hotel. Rooms are clean and showers are always fantastic. Theres a Tesco and Aldi 5 minutes away as well as a Costa coffee shop. Great place to stay if you dont want to be right in the city. Only complaint is the restaurant at this hotel. You cant just walk in and expect to eat, you need to make a reservation for dinner and hope for the best. Always seems to be understaffed and overwhelmed. Restaurant can have 10 tables eating and 20 empty tables but they cant accommodate you. Other than that minor inconvenience, I always stay here when in Edinburgh

Do not expect the A/C in your room to work! Our room's A/C would not blow adequate air nor was it cooler than 75º F at best, despite the setting on the thermostat at 66º F (19º C). We were trying to get it to kick on by pushing it down low and nothing worked. The hotel also blocked your ability to open the windows so our room became a sweat box and was unbearable. The sad thing is, the hotel was very nice and clean otherwise. They say they have parking as well, but you have to pay for it and are only told that upon arrival. A different company owns the lot, not Premier Inn.

Situated right by the train and tram line, this Premier Inn was an ideal base for exploring Edinburgh. For those with a car, there is a reasonable car park. There is a restaurant in the hotel. Traveling across the station bridge, there is a modern outlet style mall with various stores including a Tesco and some fast food restaurants.

I was pleasantly surprised at the hotel as a whole. I was not expecting it to be as nice as it was, for the price point. The staff was welcoming and helpful, the room was very clean and had extra pillows on hand (a must for a pillow goblin like me!), and the whole experience was a great start to our trip to Scotland. The restaurant was also fantastic, with great food and lovely wait staff. I give this place 10/10 stars.

Hotel is OK, restaurant and food are OK as well. Modestly priced restaurant that would not break the bank. Right next to the train station so if you can figure out the schedule and have the time to wait, good option for getting into downtown.
