TERRESENS - L'Etoile de la Vanoise

TERRESENS - L'Etoile de la Vanoise

10/10 Excellent
"Spacious modern apartments, appear virtually brand new. Decorated in a unique but pleasent style (fake fur, pretend cow heads, etc). Done well and to a high standard of finish. Staff very friendly. No issues with room. Only word or warning is to be sure to double-check that your key will be available if arriving late: The accommodation's own website list check-in as being from 17.00 hrs onwards to anytime, which is true, as long as they've placed your key in the check-in safe. I emailed on the first occasion to query this and didn't get a reply on this point, so assumed it might be staffed 24/7 for check-in. Thankfully I double-checked with a later follow-up email, otherwise we'd have arrived late evening after a day of driving to find ourselves locked out in the snow. Not quite as close to the lifts as some reviews suggest. Walkable in ski boots, but not ideal with children or if carrying skis. If you rent, rent from the Sport 2000 ski shop next to the gondola, they'll let you leave your skis and poles there overnight. Overall, very good accommodation, would definitely recommend. Also is well positioned for the main part of the village and is only 30 seconds walk from the bakery! :)"
