"We had a great 2-night stay. Location is the best, enjoyed room 1. It is different, small, cozy and comfortable with lots of windows and mirrors. It is a corner room so windows on two walls, nice ocean view and breeze. Room has a table with 2 chairs so could eat breakfast and play cards while watching the beach happenings below. We had everything we needed. Just be aware of sheet sweeper early in the morning before 6am, comes by about 8 times. close up windows at night and use A/C so it won't be as loud."

You cannot enjoy the evening up top as a family or a couple or a small group of friends men were taking shirts off getting loud at the end it was not the right place for this but the hotel said it’s been a scene for locals lately"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Newport Beach

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable period to visit Newport Beach is during January, February, and November, when hotel prices are known to be lower. For those looking to explore the rich history, cultural landmarks, and charming traditions of the area, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. During this time, visitors can enjoy attractions including the beach, islands, sea views, vibrant flowers, boating activities, stunning sunsets, well-tended gardens, a variety of dining options, shopping, and even aspects of the local business scene. This budget-friendly approach offers great value for money for travellers on a budget, with the potential for prices to drop further.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Explore Newport Beach with Hotels.com. Begin by checking the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section for potential discounts on hotels near your travel date. You may discover reduced rates, and by enabling email alerts or push notifications, you're more likely to see flash sales and special promotions. Additionally, use the Smart Shopping comparison tool via the app to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're promptly informed if rooms become available or if prices drop for a spontaneous getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year; therefore, being flexible with your chosen dates could help you save on your stay at a Newport Beach hotel. For those seeking a unique experience, boutique hotels may offer a more personalised stay and sometimes better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your selected dates is above or below the average, and if it is on the higher side, we might suggest alternative, more affordable dates to help you find a potentially better deal.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but with Newport Beach's excellent public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
