CALl IT WHAT IT IS If you are an AT hiker looking for a place to sleep close to the trail, in the dry, this is a good option. The bed was clean, had a refrigerator and ceiling fan, but no coffee pot. The bathroom and shower are communal so be aware there is not a bathroom in each “cabin,” nor can you lock your door from the inside. Thus “resort” is misleading. I am not sure why they chose to include “resort” in naming this place. It is very clearly a nice rustic campground with four hostel structures and group fire pit.

This is a delightfully rustic area with really cute cabins if that is what you are looking for. There is a shared firepit and great community atmosphere. The Wi-fi did not work in our cabin, but you could get sporadic service if you sat outside. The bathrooms/shower house seem to be under renovation, but were nicer than outhouses. Because of the word "resort" in the title, I had higher expectations. Had it been advertised a little more accurately, I would have given it 4-5 stars.

If you can stomach driving up and down the side of a mountain to get to this gorgeous relaxing resort. I would say the owners and host are very nice. If you like to get away from society, this is the place for you. Definitely a place i wish we could have spent days at

Awsome trip bathroom was right beside our cabin lol although we didnt use most there ammenities they had everything grills fire pits and also a store that's awesome in my book great place in the tennesse mountains loved iteven saw a bear or two thankyou blackbear resort for an awesome time!!
