Memorable high-quality stay

Staff made our anniversary celebration a memorable experience. Upon booking staff reached out to ask if we were celebrating a special occasion and if they could assist in any way. They went above and beyond and even have complimentary transportation to and from the Tren Maya station.

6/10 Good

Wow! Mindy Maya Edzna is an absolutely stunning hotel — we’ve never seen anything so grand and beautifully designed. The service at arrival was very good; they transported us from the parking lot to the hotel with a cart for our luggage. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. It was also quiet and cool thanks to the air conditioning, and everything was impeccably maintained. The pool area is lovely, with attentive service there as well. The only downside was the restaurant — the food was mediocre and overpriced compared to Western standards. Otherwise, this hotel is truly exceptional.

10/10 Exceptional

Excelente value for this extraordinary property, clean and safe, the staff is always willing to go beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, but left us to enjoy the peace of the area, the pool was heated and clean, cabanas were clean, and not crowded, plenty of peace to take a Knapp. We took the Mayan Train, and the hotel pickup us up and the train station, as well took us to the train station. They also had daily trips to Campeche courtesy of the hotel, they dropped us off at 1:30 pm on the main square in historic Campeche and picked us up at 9:30 pm we just tipped the driver to and from the hotel, this is by far a lot better than what I thought the hotel would be, and we were impressed by all the details of the property, but mostly with the staff, they are top notch, and we will return in the future once we stay at the other properties, for now on to Mundo Maya Hotel in Palenque. Excelente place and we highly recommend it.

8/10 Very good

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Mundo for 4 nights. The property is beautiful, very very well kept. The staff were continually cleaning and spiffy everything up. Spotless. The complementary transportation to and from Campeche was invaluable as was the transportation between the Edzna train station and the hotel. The food was okay, but not more than that and because the menu for the one open restaurant didn't change we found it limited. There were many more staff than guests when we visited so we were well attended to but sometimes felt it was a bit much. The bartenders were helpful especially Adrian (sp?) were great. But timelines needed to be met, even met in advance, sometimes leaving the feeling of being rushed. We were to return from Capeche to the hotel at 4:30 but at 5 minutes after 4pm the driver called us we needed to go - now. We were shopping within close proximity of our meeting point but made us feel rushed and uncomfortable. Also rules such as where we needed to sit in a near to empty dining room seemed excessive. For sure it's very reasonably priced and the Edzna ruins, jungle surroundings, rooms with balony and veiews, and trips to Campeche made it a pleasant 5 days. We respected the hotel and its concept enough we are looking into their other properties.

Everything about this place was amazing, the food, the room, the pools, and the views were all excellent. There are also archaeological ruins nearby that are definitely worth visiting. The location is a bit isolated, but that adds to the experience, giving you a peaceful, nature-filled atmosphere in a truly beautiful setting.

This property is amazing in every way. Staff were amazing and friendly. Rooms were perfect with an A/C unit that actually makes the room cold! Beds were comfortable and rooms beautifully decorated. Great views from your personal balcony too. The grounds are very well maintained, pool area is out of this world. The restaurant was wonderful and prices were really reasonable. I can recommend this hotel enough. We will definitely come back.

8/10 Very good

It's a beautiful, luxurious and new hotel near the Edznà ruins. The staff was very attentive and friendly. It has a beautiful pool that's long enough to swim in and the area around it is nice to relax. Also, very pretty rooms. Ours had a balcony and a pretty view over the surrounding jungle. Downside is the A/C, it works great but the fan works much too hard. There's only one position "bajo" (which means low) and that results in wind and plenty of noise. In the restaurant, I think it's best to stick to the Mexican options (don't order sushi). They do sell Mexican wine by the glass. The papaya I had in my fresh fruit dish for breakfast wasn't very ripe.
