I absolutely loved this hotel- I've been to 6 of the 7 continents and I've stayed in some really nice places. This hotel is equal to or grater than any of the other places. The location, rooms, grounds, and staff were some of the best I've ever experienced. If you want a true taste of "old Japanese" culture, this is it.

The ultimate luxury escape at Mt. Fuji! 🗻 Gora Kadan Fuji, open just a year, is pure perfection. It features two massive public hot springs facing Mt. Fuji, heated indoor/outdoor pools, a gym, and a world-class SPA. The dining is spectacular! An entire floor hosts Kaiseki, Teppanyaki, and Omakase. I booked the half-board package (breakfast + dinner)—each dish was a masterpiece. In Vancouver, this dining quality would easily cost $400–$500 CAD per person. Including it is an absolute steal! The rooms boast elegant modern Japanese design, featuring a balcony with a private semi-open-air hot spring. Soaking while facing the unobstructed grandeur of Mt. Fuji is unforgettable. With bespoke 1-on-1 butler service, it’s an ultra-private, serene paradise！

Perfect expression of Japanese omotenashi—a distinct form of hospitality that is highly attentive without seeming effusive or pandering. Beautiful property that very much lives up to, and in some ways exceeds, the high bar set by its sister property. The location on the side of Mount Fuji is breathtaking, particularly if you make the effort to look up on an early morning of a clear day. Property is also surprisingly family friendly. Will definitely return.

The best part of our stay in Japan - our host was incredible and attentive to all our needs, even the smallest things. The room was immaculate and traditional - exactly what we wanted. Our dine-in room experience was very special and filling. Both the private and shared onsen facilities were incredibly clean and offered amazing views of Mount Fuji. Would recommend to anyone after a luxury Ryokan experience.

Gora Kadan in Fuji offers truly breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji. We stayed in one of the private villa suites, which featured exceptional amenities, including a private dry sauna, an indoor hot spring bathtub upstairs, and an additional outdoor onsen. Our family regularly stays at five-star hotels and resorts around the world, and this property easily ranks among the very best. The food, service, room amenities, privacy, and views were all absolutely top-notch. Everything about our stay exceeded expectations, and we will definitely return on our next visit to the Mt. Fuji area.

Such an amazing place. Gora Kadan Fuji is a truly magical hotel. The rooms are perfect, comfortable and clean. I loved the tub next to the bathroom that was always full of hot water and with a lovely sound. Norika, the manager goes above and beyond with attention to her guests. Very warm and welcoming. This is a standout hotel in Japan. It’s 3 months old and the website does it not justice. The hotel and grounds are spectacular, the facilities (spa, gym, lounges, restaurants) are beautiful. We stayed in a room the size of an apartment, with both an indoor and out hot spa. The hotel manager has 15+ years of experience at Ritz hotel and brings the shame charm, insight and guest experience to the Gora Kadan Fuji. The entire team were delightful, including the wonderful driver who waited for us whilst we visited Fuji-speedway nearby. The food is exceptional. My only regret is we didn’t stay one or two more nights. It was a welcome tonic after the craziness of Tokyo! Hands down the best hotel we stayed at in Japan. Book it, you won’t regret it.

Our experience was incredible. Best experience we have ever had. The staff was the most hospitable, thank you Kazuya! We loved the bath and onsen, and the staff was very accommodating with taxi and driving services. The food was the most delicious. We would love to come back again!
