Nice bright rooms with great views. Room was small but very well designed, so we felt comfortable. The staff was great. They have a few breakfast options to choose from. Food was made and served with care. That homemade jam was to die for. No microwave or refrigerator or hairdryer- but I am pretty sure staff would have helped if we needed any of that. Easy walk to the town.

I appreciated the staff putting together a to-go breakfast for us because we had an activity that would cause us to miss breakfast. The laundry service was quick and affordable ($6/kg). Receptionist was excellent, she explained the everything very well and make us feel welcomed. The room was clean but the gases from the bathroom filled the air, so the smell was strong, after opening the door and windows and turning on the exhaust it went away totally.

Room was basic but clean with a comfy bed and great shower. The couple that run the place looked after us very well. Breakfast was delicious. There are steps out the back into ‘town’ so you don’t have to walk round the block which it what Google suggests. The only slight negative is that the rooms have big windows (good) but other guests walk right past and can easily see in unless you shut the curtains.

Golden nugget in the jungle of Monteverde.

Our stay was wonderful, management staff was extraordinary. Customer service was excellent. Breakfast was very refreshing with a wide selection of fresh fruit. I would highly recommend this hotel for both couples and family excursions.
