This was the cutest, most quaint and charming inn. We stayed in one of the Signature Cottages. Beautifully and tastefully renovated. Ideal location to spend a day in lighthouse beach or drive down to Captiva . Breakfast (Lighthouse Cafe) and lunch (Lazy Flamingo) spots within walking distance and an ice cream shop! (The Shack). Felt like home…just wonderful. Would def come back.

Very quaint little motel, beautifully renovated, the king studio is very nice modern and elegant furnishings. Staff was very helpful and extremely polite. Self check in was very easy, once I read the message from the staff, everything you need is at the facility. Location is is perfect, midisland lots of restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute drive. We will definitely be staying here in the future. I highly recommend.

A Hidden Gem on Sanibel Island – Absolutely Outstanding! I really can’t say enough good things about the Anchor Inn! After being destroyed by a hurricane, this property was purchased by a young couple who have done an absolutely amazing job bringing it back to life. The renovation is beautiful, but what really sets this place apart is the incredible attention to detail. They have thought of just about everything! From the lighting and ample cupboard space to the kitchenette with its charming retro mini-fridge, every detail has been carefully considered. The bathroom and room are tastefully decorated, comfortable, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Even the little touches make a difference, like the soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers in the shower (something you often find in high-end hotels) and an adorable anchor hook right by the entrance to hang your keys. The outdoor amenities are just as impressive. There’s a lovely pool area, a place to clean your shells, cornhole, picnic tables, and even a small sandy area overlooking the pond. The view out back, combined with the tasteful landscaping, creates a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. And to top it all off, the prices are extremely reasonable for everything this property offers. It’s refreshing to find a place where the owners have clearly put so much thought, pride, and love into creating a special experience for their guests. A great place to stay on Sanibel! We loved the bikes and used them to ride all over the island (they have baskets which is also helpful). The beach is <1 mile away and less 8 min bike ride. The rooms are well decorated, updated, and good for a short stay. We did find someone else's shorts under the bed and a few of the dishes weren't clean, so a little more attention needs to be put on cleaning, but overall the unit was well kept! It was nice to have a pool - the pool was quite hot and not really refreshing, but to be expected of a pool in the sun in Florida in the summer. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others!

Very cute vibe! Location was great -right on main “drag” walking distance to several places but biking is the way to go! So much fun and with the bike paths you can basically go anywhere. We had a wonderful stay at Anchor Cottage Inn on Sanibel. The location was incredibly convenient, close to everything we needed yet it remained peaceful and quiet even though the property was fully booked during our visit and located off a main road. We stayed in the Signature Cottage, which was beautifully designed with thoughtful details throughout. It truly felt like everything had been considered, from the clean, easy-to-use laundry machines to the beach chairs and towels ready for use. A special mention goes to Jane, who was absolutely amazing warm, welcoming, and always available when we had questions. Her recommendations for food and local activities were spot-on and really enhanced our trip. We would absolutely recommend staying here and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Really cute place, clean, beautiful renovation, good location, owner was easy to communicate with. The bed was really comfortable. My only negative was that in the king pond view room the AC blows right on the bed. I had a hard time sleeping but my husband was ok. We only stayed one night so I dealt with it but if we were there longer I might've asked to change rooms if the AC was different in another room. But overall I would book again on another trip to Sanibel.

You probably will not stay in one of the triangular cottages. Most rooms look like a one-story motel and are not well represented on the hotel web site. However, everything about the room was high quality and comfortable. Our room (07) overlooked a pond with anhingas, turtles and egrets. Free bikes with helmets and locks, free guest laundry.

I was amazed on how fresh and clean the room was . I am OCD with cleanliness and I can vouch for the cleanliness of the room. Only issue was the pillows. They were too hard and we woke up with a neck ache. Besides that this is all 5 stars .

I generally try to avoid self check in places because it's a bit of a hassle with the online identity verification and all that but this place is worth it. Everything is newly renovated and charmingly decorated. A real effort has gone into making this place feel homey and comfortable. There is even a first aid kit!
