A spectacular getaway

This was an amazing place to stay. Spectacular surroundings, historic lodge reminiscent of a US national park lodge, outstanding breakfast included. We didn't take the opportunity to have a sauna, but there is a beautiful one on site.

Absolutely beautiful location. Falls short on amenities but well worth the stay. Restaurant was not operating during our stay and food was sparse in local town. However, the history of the hotel and the view are well worth the cost.

Mycket nöjda! Fantastisk vÀrd som alltid var lika trevlig och tillmötesgÄende! Bra service! Mycket god frukost som serverades i en hÀrlig gammaldags miljö! TillgÄng till ett litet kök med kyl och frys dÀr man kan tillaga sin egen mat! Stor hÀrlig trÀdgÄrd och terass! Bra tillgÄng pÄ internet! Nackdel: Ingen toalett och dusch pÄ rummet, bara ett handfat! HÎtel situé au milieu des montagnes dans un cadre verdoyant ou rÚgne calme et sérénité Nous avons été agréablement accueilli par des personnes charmantes et disponibles Bien que ce n'était pas la haute saison touristique estivale et que le restauration n'était pas disponible , on nous a proposer de nous préparer ce que nous avions avec nous. Les repas et petits déjeuners pris dans le bùtiment principal est trÚs agréable avec une décoration juste magnifique. Nous étions seulement de passage pour une nuit , mais l'endroit agréable aspiré à plusieurs jours de détente.

Sjarmerende historisk lodge

De ansatte tar seg god tid og er hyggelige og hÞflige og gir det lille ekstra. VÊr pÄpasselig at det ikke er matservering pÄ stedet. Men de serverer drikke og de har en super frokost med nystekte vafler, god kaffe og det hele. Nydelig sted og beliggenhet med spennende historie.

Var her i to netter og hadde et ekstremt hyggelig opphold. Nasjonalromantikken pÄ sitt beste. Hun som jobbet her var utrolig hjelpsom og bistod med alt vi lurte pÄ. Anbefales pÄ det sterkeste.

Det var et lite eventyr Ä komme ril Philipshaugen lodge. Dette vakre stedet bygd for laksebaroner ca 1900, er sÄ absolutt verdt et besÞk.

Ikke rent pÄ rommet med papir under sengen f eks. Frokost var heller sparsomt. SmÄ rom, ikke mulighet for Ä oppholde seg pÄ noe annet sted, kanskje i den nye delen, men fikk klar beskjed at peisestua ikke kunne brukes. Alt sÄ litt rufsete ut pÄ utsiden, sikkert fordi det var vÄr. Ikke altfor vennlig betjening.

Meget enkelt og lite rom, kun 2 senger. Toalett og dusj pÄ felles korridor der det ene toalettet var defekt. Veldig lytt, hÞrte all bevegelse i gangen. Bildene fra hotellet er litt misvisende der de viser storslÄtte rom med flott interiÞr og komfort. Litt overpriset ift kvaliteten.
