Blaumar Hotel Salou
"Excellent hotel with very friendly and attentive staff. Clean and well kept. Apartment building slightly different age to main hotel but once in the apartment, the room standard was high again. Beds and linens very comfortable. Nice area for younger kids to chill in out of the sun and play games etc. Pool was gorgeous. And no saving sun loungers! Breakfast excellent with a great choice. WiFi not great outside the main building/lobby/lounge areas, that is my only little negative. But it was a good excuse to switch off more and not even look at phones."
Hotel Pigal
"This hotel isn't fancy but the rooms are comfortable and clean and it's well located. The staff is super nice and very helpful. The gentleman who runs the hotel is incredibly friendly and charismatic. We loved him. Would definitely recommend."
H10 Imperial Tarraco
"We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is excellent for walking around and exploring the area. We were very happy with our room, the pools were wonderful, and our sea view was absolutely gorgeous. The only downside is that it’s quite a walk to the beach. The buffet breakfast was nice and had a decent selection, although it was one of the more expensive meals we had during our stay. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it."
Hotel MR
"Very friendly owners allowed us to view the eclipse from the top. There are no nearby food options. Not the greatest location but I like supporting family owned/operated businesses"
Hotel Astari
"Room was nice and clean, the breakfast was good the one day we had it (usually we slept in and didn't bother but that's just us). Good view from the balcony. Pool was nice and clean, enjoyed the covered beds by the pool. Nice bar and reasonably priced. Also really liked the quiet garden that was the other side of the hotel to the pool. It isn't too far of a walk from the main city, and there's also a supermarket relatively nearby. There's a minibar fridge in the room which we kept a few of our own beers in. Its also not too far of a walk to the beach which is a plus."
Hotel Jaime I
"Hemos estado a gusto.Un problemas comedores saturados, grandes colas para poder comer.La animación de la noche bastante mejorable.Pero por lo demás muy a gusto ."
Hotel Salou Sunset (Adults Recommended) by Pierre & Vacances
"Straightforward check in Straight to room on the 3rd floor Choice of 2 lifts Room clean and tidy 2 large beds Balcony overlooking pool Lovely bathroom Fridge Safe(didn’t use) Didn’t use hotels breakfast and bar as was out majority of days we visited Our last night(Saturday) we visited the rooftop bar and was extremely busy but with a good atmosphere We would deffo recommend hotel for a short stay Is a good 5-10 minute walk into town however we didn’t mind that"
Hotel SB Express Tarragona
"Clean room handy paid parking"
Rentalmar Salou Pacific
"Lovely apartment with comfy beds. I asked for a high floor room and got one at the top with good views inland. Good size balcony. The swimming pool is open but only after 10 am. Across the road are bus stops and an excellent information bus hub. [Ask about a bus to the airports.] This is a quieter, greener end of Salou so you may be using local buses a lot. I recommend walking the coast path and visiting all the little local beaches. [Warning. The nearest beaches are one heck of a climb.] A trip to Tarragona is a must, especially for fans of ancient Rome. A Dac supermarket is just across the road but the best is Coviran just past the information hub. The bad... Check in takes ages and you have to leave a credit card deposit of 200 euros. The hotel next door is a bit noisy but the entertainment stops at 11pm and the patio doors shuts off the noise. Permanent residents live here as well as holiday guests. You need to leave the apartment clean tidy and free of your own rubbish including any leftovers you might leave for the cleaner [who comes only after you've vacated it.] I would stay here again providing I had the same room."

Highlights include ancient ruins, archaeological sites, and opportunities for sightseeing and recreation, such as enjoying the marina or indulging in jazz events. This duration allows visitors to appreciate Tarragona's rich heritage while ensuring great value for money on their trip.

For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels could provide a more personalised experience and occasionally offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If it appears to be on the higher side, we might suggest alternative, more affordable dates that could help you find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Tarragona's excellent public transport links, you might find a more affordable independent hotel further afield that is still well connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
