Learn more about Mercer Island
Floating in Lake Washington, this affluent island offers a peaceful escape just minutes from Seattle's urban buzz. Kayak along the shoreline where waterfront mansions peek through towering evergreens. Luther Burbank Park provides sandy beaches and off-leash dog areas where four-legged locals socialize with more enthusiasm than their owners. Summer concerts fill Mercerdale Park with picnicking families sprawled across blankets. The community center hosts everything from tennis matches to art exhibitions. Bicentennial Park's trails wind through native forests that somehow survived development. While the island itself feels like a retreat, the I-90 bridges make Pike Place Market and the Space Needle quick trips for when island tranquility needs a dash of city energy.

Hotel Sorrento
"The best hotel, clean rooms and excellent guest service"
The Boylston Hotel Capitol Hill
"Room was very clean but not to spacious. Was also very secure. There was no breakfast but had a coffee machine in your room."
The Belltown Inn
"The location was really good—walkable to attractions like the Public Market and the Space Needle. Typical urban situations such as minor parking concerns and increased awareness needed when walking in the area after dark. Staff was very responsive and so helpful with recommendations. Good explanation given for hotel amenities. I did make the mistake of paying at the recommended parking lot (per the sign) after already being charged for parking validation at the hotel (non-refundable). The petite queen room was a good size for a couple. The hotel is unique and quirky. The roof top terrace was cool, but the breeze coming off the water was chilly so we didn’t get to enjoy the space for long. Overall a good, memorable stay."

During your visit, you can explore charming islands, indulge in family-friendly activities, enjoy opera performances, and partake in various forms of entertainment. Additionally, you might want to take in some shopping, relax by the picturesque lake, experience the local theatre scene, or even go horseback riding—all of which offer great value for money while immersing yourself in the rich culture of Mercer Island.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover hotel deals in Mercer Island, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates as your travel date approaches. You could also enable email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special last-minute promotions. Furthermore, utilise the Smart Shopping tool available via the app, which allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you make an informed choice. By staying updated on price changes or availability, you're more likely to secure the best hotel deal for your getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you potentially save on your stay in a hotel on Mercer Island. For those seeking a unique experience, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised atmosphere and sometimes a better value. When you make a reservation through Hotels.com, we'll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, helping you to secure a better deal.
- Consider your location: Staying nearer to major attractions or city centres may provide convenience but often comes with higher expenses. For more affordable options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and ease of access to the sites you intend to visit. You could also look into independent hotels situated further out, which are usually more likely to be affordable and can offer a more authentic experience.
