Urban Hive Milano
"10/10"
Starhotels E.c.ho.
"Nice clean hotel with very comfortable rooms. We chose it primarily because it is opposite Milan central station and we would be using the metro/ trains daily for site seeing. There was a major fire just outside the hotel and it had to be evacuated. The fire alarm was inadequate, it sounded as if it was from outside and there were no strobbing lights. Many guests including us did not react to it, and police and fireman had to physically nock on each door to get guests out. It think this is a serious H&S failure and should be looked into by the hotel."
Hotel Berna
"Perfect location for all activities"

"The breakfast was very disappointing. It was our only change to get a full meal before our long international trip as a family. Eggs were fake, bacon was cooked prosciutto, coffee horrible and fruits fermented."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Milan
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Milan is during January, March, and December, when hotel prices tend to be lower. To make the most of your trip while on a budget, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is advisable for exploring the city's renowned landmarks and cultural attractions. During your visit, you can enjoy the stunning architecture of the cathedral, visit fascinating museums, admire historical monuments, and experience the vibrant theatre scene. Additionally, Milan offers charming cafes and excellent shopping opportunities, ensuring great value for money while indulging in the city's rich history and artistry.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Explore DealsOpens in a new window on Hotels.com to uncover potential savings on Milan accommodations, while the Last-Minute Deals section may reveal discounted rates close to your travel date. By enabling email alerts or app notifications, you are more likely to see flash sales and special offers. Additionally, use the Smart Shopping tool available via the app to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you remain informed about any price drops or room availability for a spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so having flexibility with your dates may help you save on your stay in a Milan hotel. For those seeking distinctive experiences, boutique hotels can offer a more personalised service and occasionally better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you find a more affordable option.
- Consider your location: Hotels in close proximity to the city centre usually come with a higher price tag, yet thanks to Milan's superb public transport network, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a little further afield that is still well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less congested neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
