The Lodge at Cedar River, Shanty Creek Resort
"Scored a great deal on a 1 BR suite. This room had 2 queen size beds, and a sofa bed in the living room. In addition, the unit had a mini kitchen, private furnished balcony, a fireplace, and a jetted bathtub. The room was very well-maintained and had a comfy and cozy vibe, especially with the fireplace on."
Spillway Lodges
"Very clean and well appointed! The beds are comfy and the shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. We didn’t use the hot tubs/sauna or cold plunge but they looked nice! Close to Bellaire and Mammoth (which is my fav as I don’t drink beer or cider so Short’s really isn’t the appeal to me for drinks). There’s other places too. All within walking distance. They asked that we put trash outside, pile towels on floor (which I do anyway) but I shouldn’t have to worry about trash at all for what we paid. It also looks a tad junky to have trash bags outside a door on check out day! I would re-think that policy. I loaded the dishwasher with the very few things we used (just coffee mugs and the coffee pot carafe and brew basket/filter) but I couldn’t start it and honestly, I didn’t want to keep messing with it! I’m We would stay here again for sure!"
The Lakeview Hotel, Shanty Creek Resort
"Room was clean, bed was comfortable, furniture was old, water pressure in shower was very weak and toggled back & forth between hot & cold. Restaurant and coffee shop were quite expensive and coffee shop did not take cash."
Grand Victorian B&B Inn
"Beautiful place, quiet location, very nice stay."
Applesauce Inn B&B
"Does anyone really know what it takes to find breakfast recipes, to shop for those recipes, to prepare those recipes for five plated breakfasts that are served up at the perfect temperature, decorated with the most delightful flowers or herbs on the cutest china with real SILVERware and consisting of the most interesting combination of unique textures and colors? And all of this has to be prepared and come out the door at 8:30 AM. That is incredibly astounding. And then consider that Jamie has a smile and a pleasant greeting and coffee ready all at the same time. Usually when I travel, I discover that the real deal isn’t exactly as beautiful or perfect as the pictures indicate, but you won’t be disappointed at Applesauce Inn Bed and Breakfast in Bellaire, Michigan. THIS should be the focal point of your trip, and Torch Lake sand bar, Charlevoix, Petoskey, Michigan SkyBridge, Grass River Natural Area, apple picking, cherries and the great local restaurants will be frosting on the cake."

For a truly enriching experience, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended to fully appreciate the town's historical landmarks and cultural offerings. Visitors can explore the scenic river, enjoy recreational activities by the lake, and take part in local excursions that highlight the area's rich heritage. Additionally, Bellaire offers great value for money with its skiing, golfing, and spa options, making it an ideal destination for those on a budget.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover the best hotel deals in Bellaire, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications for updates on flash sales and special promotions, so you’re more likely to see opportunities to save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you can swiftly book a last-minute getaway should rooms become available or prices drop.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates could help you save on your stay in a Bellaire hotel. For those seeking something distinctive, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and, at times, better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that may be more affordable, helping you to secure a better deal.
- Consider your location: Opting for accommodation closer to major attractions or city centres may provide convenience, but it often comes with a higher price tag. For more budget-friendly options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to the sites you intend to visit. Exploring independent hotels situated a bit further out can also offer a more authentic experience that is usually more likely to be affordable.
