Very cute place! I love that they repurposed the old inn that once stood there and made it an entirely new and wonderful place. We love ecologically responsible companies! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool was large and the patio was nicely decorated. We had a good meal and great cocktails in the bar/restaurant. The Trail Hotel is located just out of town, so it was easy to drive to downtown Bardstown or take a taxi. The room was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. We will devinitely come back again!

The was an amazing experience. They did everything right. Yes - they took the bones of an old hotel and gave it new life, and they did a fantastic job. The reception, bars, restaurant and rooms were beautifully done and finding the speak easy was a blast (and super cute too). I wasn't sure what to expect initially, but this hotel exceeded all of my expectations. Highly recommend!

Nice and clean overall. The property definitely feels more upscale, but it also felt a little out of place for us and isn’t exactly kid-friendly. Some of the corners of the property could use a good cleaning, although the pool was really nice. Our shower backed up, but the room itself was nice and they fixed it once we let them know. The amenity fee on top of the room charge was also a little annoying. I’d say it’s worth the weekday price, but not the weekend price. Don’t get me wrong—it’s a nice property, just not really for us.

This is a beautifully renovated property perfect for bourbon lovers! The bar and speakeasy are fantastic as is the restaurant. The one thing to keep in mind is the hotel is not within walking distance of downtown. We were able to schedule taxis after talking to the hotel staff. Definitely a great place to stay in Bardstown!
